I'm a bit confused: Silent Army In The Trees was on Vancouver, but it says this was performed in 2007. I wonder if he was just part done the song at the time, or just saved it for Vancouver.

How did he play this song in 2007 if the album was released in 2009?

He wrote the song back then, and has been refining it ever since. Notice how in this version, he hadn't written the last verse yet (that shows up in the Vancouver album version).

I love how he blends these songs together. its really well played and well thought out. i think its really interesting how the subject matter is generally the same.

im thinking that the tuning in black helicopters is supposed to be different, but ends up being the same tuning to silent army in the trees. anyways, i really like the tuning for black helicopters. it sounds awesome.
