POLISHING ALUMINUM for the Honda Chopper

That is a great job, what kind of machine are you using to buff it with? Is that like a 5 horse lathe engine with a 14" buff? thanks, I always wanted a set up like that. Randy H DSD

Buffing aluminum is very satisfying. It looks great, but buffed aluminum will eventually oxidize and look dull- it is just a matter of time. The trick is what clear coat will hold up to the temp extremes and weather.

Do you hit it with a coat of clear afterwards?or just leave it as is?

Hi.. just curious, i have a suzuki T500 which is air cooled. lots and lots of fins. i'm trying to figure out how to get inside them. dremel takes way too damned long.

Wire brush it out.. and silver paint.. the only way to get deep into the cracks is to hide them in the beginning.. -Rob

Actually he needs less-expensive ones and more of them.. Those are pig-skin tig-welding gloves.. about $9 a pair..
