Wow.....no matter how many times you read the book no matter how often you've seen the film, nothing, but NOTHING comes close to hearing Gerry Conlon himself telling us about the barbarism and the horror that he and the 4 experienced at the hands of the British police. How can one of the most civilized nations in the world behave no better than a bunch of Nazis? Torture? Falsifying evidence? Perjuring themselves and twisting the law at their whim without regard to human rights? The mind boggles.
