The line "people carryin on and drinkin, you gotta strain to hear" is all too true. Ive seen them several times and every time there's been people who dont SHUT THE F*CK UP. love the woodies
Verse is G chord travis picked walking the low G on the E string down from G to F#, then open E, grabbing the B on the A string... then walk it back up -- E, F# and G.
Bridge is F# full bar chord, then F#7, then Bminor bar chord. I gotta soul that I wanna sell is the chord walked down and back up double time.
G7 hammer off the high F note then D/F# chord picked travis, then A and walk down the high A on the 1st string -- A, F#, then travis pick the D chord and hammer off the F# to E (1st sting). That's the intro.
it is all travis picking -- alternating bass ... capo on 7th fret. (chords are said relative to capo and 1st position chord) Intro -- G chord and hammer the flat seven (1st fret, first string) D/F# A and walk down A, G notes on 1st string Then D and hammer off the F# to the E note on 1st string. Verse-- G walking bassline down G, F# to open E (grabbing the B on 2nd string when you are picking that open E bass note) , the the basline walks back up.
Im glad they arent bigger cause then you cant stand in front of olivers monitor during a show!! The most amazing show of my life in nashville, and most were not there for them...

That D/7# chord (in case you aren't hip to it) is: F# on six string (index finger), A on 3rd string (2nd finger) and D on 2nd string (3rd finger).
Solo over this song in D magor.
