Dachshunds eats just about everything! WHen my doxie was alive, he ate all kinds of veggies! Peppers, cucumbers, carrots, even apples and pear! He was so funneh.

My husband gave our Doxie a tiny plate of spaghetti with very watered down sauce. Made the dog throw up. Did you know raisins and grapes are toxic to dogs? It on a poster at my vets office. Stick to kibble. If you give them food give it to them with no seasoning. Chinese food is full of MSG. Not even good for humans.

Dachshunds are not like "most dogs" they will eat anything!!! Their whole world revolves around their belly. They certainly do not think with their minds.

Dachshunds are very intelligent breeds, Refer to the American Kennel Club's breed standards; "the dachshund is clever, lively and courageous to the point of rashness, persevering in above and below ground work, with the senses well developed". I've had dachshunds all my life (39 years) and no statement does this breed more justice. Anyone who lives with one can testify how calculating and resourceful they can be, not to mention loving and affectionate.

Please be careful giving your dachshund carrots. My vet told me not to give my dachsie carrots because they have been found to form crystals in the kidneys. Just thought you'd wanna know. Beautiful dachsie! Cute. green beans are great treats!

LOL, nice to see my doxies aren't the only ones who are veggie addicts. Mine love strawberries, apples, carrots, lettuce, bird seed, and brocolli. And the one likes to eat poo... (can't seem to break her of the habit! We pick up after our dogs to prevent her from eating any as it's just plain gross)
