  • you sould use dsdt.aml files and etid com.apple.boot.plist

  • Solved?

  • Leopard isn't 64-Bit. You have to use Snow Leopard... ;D

  • just use windows...

  • Hi. :) You can enable OS X to use all 4 cores and HT! :D For doing that, you need to patch your DSDT! Google your CPU and how to DSDT patch it :) Worked for me with i7 920 ^^

  • That is a quad core processor, using CPUs=1 is telling your machine to only use 1 of the cores!?!

Just buy a retail snow leopard and use your 10.5.8 to format a 8gig flash drive to a boot drive using Cham. There are good step by step guides on insanelymac. After 10.6 is installed you can update to 10.6.2 using mac updates but first remove sleepenable from E/E and replace it with netkas,s 10.6.2 version. Then you can add efi strings and modify your dsdt. This is what I did with a g41m-es2l.

  • use windows?

  • I think you said you're running intel, and if you are, I'm surprised your motherboard isn't friend yet from using the voodoo kernal...

  • Have you tried calling AppleCare yet? LMAO

    1-800-MY-APPLE

  • try to type cpus=4 instead of cpus=1

  • pirate windows 7.

  • Try using another distro...like IPC

  • If u still have the problem, I think u can install Mac os x Snow leopard 10.6 retail. its cool

I have GA-Ep45-EXTREME and its working like charm.

I think all GIGABYTE motherboard's BIOS almost the same check ur BIOS and configure it.

  • P45, 775 socket.

    P55, 1156 socket.

Very, VERY different in terms of compatibility.

  • Try editing boot.plist with EFIStudio or OSx86Tools. Add v- cpus=1 busratio=20 to the boot flag.

  • I have the same motherboard and I can boot with "cpus=4" on i5 tho

  • hihi

  • Try "cpus=2" maybe?

    Try NOT using a distro.

Can you run without voodoo kernel (vanilla)?

  • Try installing Chameleon v3

  • I noticed that you used Voodoo PS/2 driver. I think that there's a comment in one of the other selections (9.7.0 kernel?) that says that you can't use the Voodoo PS/2 but to use the other PS/2 select. Then try it again without the "cpus=1" option (I've seen it work on the same motherboard/CPU combo)

  • Leave out the "cpus=1" and write down the line it hangs on......then google that line.

  • lol

  • GL.....new hardware and CPU.....
