@pdcrew2 A transformer basically uses the polarity changes pushes them through a coil which generates a magnetic field. On the other side there's another coil which picks up this magentic induction and when this has lesser amount of turns on the coil than the primary it will boost up the voltage more it will reduce the voltage.
