great vid. i was lookin up vids to see the performance of these machines before i buy. good thing i did. i heard these are supposed to be sick, but after watching this n seeing that it takes a full 3 seconds to shift, tries to throw you every time u do a donut, is apparently way too heavy in the front to do a decent wheelie, and can barely get airborn. im def reconsidering buying. thank you for the info.

It wasn't built to be the best handling bike, it was for what the name is lol the baja. If you ride in wide open trails or dunes its the perfect bike, plush, stable, bullet proof, handles amazing at speed and is fast as fuck. But in tight trails like you said its too heavy for most's liking as well as a bit bulky for a sport bike. But for either its sick. People won the Baja 1000 on an almost stock one 3 years in a row if Im not mistaken.

The transmission is lubricated by the same oil as the engine uses. Use a decent name brand 10w-40 motor oil. I have 5 DS650's. Check out my vids here. :-)

You'd be surprised. It will out run most any "name brand" 450, and takes jumps as well as any STOCK 450. The only area where the 450s kill it is handling. You gotta be a beast to run a race on a Bomb.

actually, the ds 650 is probably one of the smoothest landing quads i have ever rode, and it takes jumps VERY nicely. although it does get beat by the yfz in a drag, it is still one of the fastest quads out there. smokes any stock banshee and raptor 660 or 700
