Also, Popy made a DX Daiku Maryu figure (no Gaiking, folks) and a similarly sized DX transforming Gaiking which spawned the GX-05 and GX-27.

The DX Daiku Maryu and Gaiking is a vintage Chogokin, so it's metal.

Trust me, I know more about vintage Popy Chogokins than you are. The Popy Chogokins are so popular, it wasn't cancelled when it returned to it's parent company, Bandai.

@OptimusPrimeSG Popy plastics are brittle, they feel cheap, almost bootleg cheap. But given that their toys are mostly metal, I have no problems with them.

At first glance, I can't believe this set is as big as a ST Chogokin set and they gave us a gashapon/minipla-sized Gaiking to play with, still a neat set, the Daiku Maryu itself was the very center of the set's play pattern. Again, glad that Bandai made a large-sized Gaiking GX-27 and the cheaper GE-10 Legend of Daiku Maryu Gaiking (which I don't have, I considered them to be the same).

@nightslash3535 GX-27 and GE-10 is essentially the same with some difference in colour and molding. The GE-10 does not come with the power up parts but one can live with it since it's cheap. I prefer the GX-27 though, cos the power up parts make him look more beefy. =)
