Great job. But a Musical Ride without horses ? I have been out of Canada for 50 years and was a paratrooper.. whats with the Royal Red ?
Mounties. yes, but it looks more like an identity crisis. A cross between Coldstream Guards and a US high school band. Thats not derogatory... but... it does work for the New Zealand Army and HMKG tho. Again, good job, but Canadian troops need a CANADIAN dress uniform.. and I am British in the US. If your Canadian.. SHOW IT !
Unit history dates back to British North America, and what was called at the time the Civil Service Rifle Corps who wore uniforms similar to the ones seen here, red tops and bearskin caps included.
With the unit's Col in Chief being the Queen, and the Col of the Regt being the Gov. General, and the Coldstream Guard being the official sister unit of the GGFG, it is hard to deny legitimate ties to the British Commonwealth. It is a part of the unit's proud history.
That was cool.
