It's amazing how these sporatic videos of the golden age of Skateboarding brought so many people together. I also forgot how amazing the Santa Cruz Vids were at the time. I'll be posting a ramp jam from London Ontario from 1988-89 with Jason Jessee doing more baddass moves to the soundtrack of Johnny Cash, and some killer skaters from the Fishlips team in canada.. I personally love the song, but I thinks it's a generational thing... it's post cold-war US punk rock. Given it's time-context, the song makes a lot more sense.

I'm not saying you should like it, I'm just saying it's kindv'e like how my elderly parents like "big band" swing music, and I can't tolerate it... mainly because I can't relate to it on any level.
