  • Warrior soul did a damm good cover of this song on their second album " drug god and the new republic

  • @blackmamba900 You do know this is Joy Division, right? They went by Warsaw before they were Joy Division...

  • does anybody know where I can download this? any help would be great!

  • tbh i prefer this 2 joy division i mean i totally respect em n ian curtis was brilliant but i just cnt get into em no matter how hard i try but this one word RAW punk as fuck

  • i love both versions. but ya know what i dont like? other bands trying to cover joy division, stop embarrassing yourselves

  • eeeeshh that looks like the baby from Trainspotting... nevermind me, I watched that movie yesterday and am still disturbed by the baby.

  • @AndPlus how can production be pretentious? Everything is fucking pretentious these days.

  • Long Live Ian

  • I kinda like the Joy Division versions of the songs better but I've listened to them so many times!! it's nice for something new.

  • LOUDER!!!!!!!!

  • the guy screaming sounds like homer simpson a little bit hahaha

  • @fentonyoung What, how? He's dead. Is it in one of his books or something?

  • @fentonyoung

    personally ? lmao...

  • Joy division an British punk music in the seventies was just awesome. Make we wish I was born a lot earlier to see their concerts

  • wauuuuuuu wau wau wau wauu ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • Warsaw was raw

  • Wow! This version is awesome! So raw, kick ass and punk! I really think their stripped down, simply recorded songs are much more powerful i.e. Peel Sessions Transmission vs. Transmission Substance and this version of Interzone.Thanx for posting!

  • @birdandthe Ha I think you need to calm down and be secure in your own opinions!

  • @AndPlus A matter of personal taste, I'd say. I've just been talking to someone who thinks his voice (on Closer, especially) is REALLY special...and I agree!

  • One of my favorite songs for a reason.

  • If u dislike this, You are officially a MORON.

  • this right here is the best song of all time!!!! will never get tired of it!!!!

  • Hooky sings on the later versions of this and he also plays guitar on it and curtis sings back up on the later version

  • I like these raw punkish tracks better than the jd albums...shame they didn't continue with this sound.

  • @vinto34

Bernard Summer and Curtis' depression and epilepsy were mostly to blame methinks =/.

Apparently Summer was the one which mostly changed the sound, i mean, look at New Order. I do adore Joy Division though <3

  • @ipudding100 Bernard's surname is actually Sumner. I wouldn't usually bother being so pedantic but you seem to have an active interest in the band so I thought you might appreciate the correction.

  • @powermajus

True that. Cheers for the correction mate.

  • @portilloster ian curtis in his teens very early twenties... fuckin boss!

  • how different is this one from the RCA demo version on the "hear and soul" boxset?

  • The killers are talesntless dickheads

  • @gogolplex74 talentless passionless idiotic stupid fucking gay american dickheads!

  • fuckin sick song, punk at its best

  • jungle man!!!

  • this version is the best, so much more raw then the more produced later versions... and the jungle call at the beginning kicks ass!

  • The best version of this is on Substance....and even better one on an old Peel sessions....if you can find it.........So much history in such a short span.

  • this aint on substance, its unknown pleasures what you thin kin of

  • Please check out NF Porter - Keep on Keeping on (Northern Soul) as mentioned in the documentary DVD 'Joy Division' Interzone was produced on the basis of this old Northern soul sound ! and that is fact !!

  • this one is missing some lyrics than the one on Unknown Pleasures....

  • I feel like it sounds clearer and this version kicks ass, but its a close call between this and Unknown Pleasures version. The unknown pleasures has some better things it, this one's clearer and more retro punkish.

  • this version is actually better than the one on "Unknown Pleasures"..this sounds much more fucked up, which of course makes it as awesome as hell

  • very interesting comment!

  • provoked by a very interesting band :)

  • Sure!

  • this version is better; the guitar is mixed up...it reminds me a bit of the Stooges.

  • @gidtok yeah i agree this is actually better, but it would be cool if this version had curtis's backing vocals, it made it eerie and cool. and i like how its not "neon show" but "unearthly glow" haha

  • @birdandthe it's called having fun

  • @gidtok Agreed. The other version seems too altered by the arrangement. There's too much going on in that version. I like the raw sound of this track.

  • @ccesarssanchez Same here. Better than the Joy Division version.

  • @gidtok this sound is clear....no mastering, no other effects...it is simple ;)
