Wow, one thing I remember when this phone got out is: It got a built-in radio!! Back then having a radio in your phone is so cool. Too bad I just got my 5210 (which has a built in thermometer, enough to make me happy hahaha) when this was sold.

i've still got this phone, i remember begging my mum to get me it for xmas when i was 14....it cost £300 back then! Also the Nokia 7210 was out around the same time and after getting this phone i wished i'd of asked for the 7210 cos of the colour screen.....My 8310 switch on button broke...i still to this day dont know how it did :(

One of the best looking mobiles ever in my opinion. Just started using one as my nokia 5230 has been playing up. Was given my 8310 by a mate who just happened to have it lying around. Got it unlocked, cleaned up the phone part and got a brand new set of keys and a genuine nokia cover for it off eBay real cheap! I absolutely love this phone, so small and well designed and works aswell today as it did nearly 10 years ago. And the battery life is ridiculous compared to modern devices that sap powe

@jawadalishe Yeah, theres plenty of these 8310's there. I bought my Nokia 6590, 1900/850 band phone for $24. The 6590 and the 8310 are almost identical.

@celloprof Well actually by looks they are identical, completely identical. I think the only difference is that the 6590i has GSM 850/1900 and blue lights and the 8310 has white lights AND GSM 900/1800

Perfect phone. I had this when it came out. Loved the white screen. I don't really like this new technology with phones. Do we really need it? All the fancy internet and 8+mp cameras and shit. It's just a damn fone to call people ...

You're right, phones back then just looked so much more stylish and had more soul to them, the way you could customise covers and the glowing keypads were just retro-awesome. Todays phones are so unimaginative with the slab screen/touch screen clones, companies copying each other, no originality whatsoever. The days of the 8210/8310/6310i, THOSE were the days!!

I never had any phone but Nokia since 1999 but now, I really don't know what phone to get. I don't like new fones like iphone etc ... i dont know what to get ... might go prepaid and keep my n95 ...
