I also have an ancient original Cassette tape of same I used to play.

I had the "fortune" of,..for a few yrs being able to put up genuine Cdn made Christmas lights and decor...old cloth wires big bright pastel 1950's NOMA lamps outside, &

set up a "Village" inside with homes lit with plain bulbs & "Bubble-lights" for streetlamps. All original 1950's stuff

I hate those "Blow ups" too...

I think the supremes version of Flo singing silent night or oh holy night were the two best supremes christmas songs. But sadly none of the two was featured on the original supremes christmas album...

@Maxqstl Yes and the biggest shame is that the two best songs Oh Holy Night and Silent Night on that she sang lead weren't even included on the supremes christmas album

instead there was some stuff on it that no one wants to listen to...

@hawkman672 yes I think the most annoying thing is that they start selling christmas stuff and chistmas candy in september so until it's christmas you're already pissed xD plus today nobody has time I think you need much time to enjoy christmas baking cookies decorate the house and buy a tree and such stuff you shouldn't hurry in that time

Florence's version of "Silent Night" is absolutely my favorite version of the song. She had such a powerful voice. Rest in peace, Blondie.

I cannot believe that with a voice like that Florence wasn't chosen to be the lead singer of the Supremes!!! She can sing circles around Diana!!!!!

well I also think that she had the better voice because she had soul in her voice and feelings and was able to bring much emoticon into a song...

but in berrys opinion this was the problem because he wanted to reach the white pop charts and for that flo's voice was too soulful in his opinion...

yes the original. also can be found on the millenium series christmas cd. the ed sullivan christmas dvd is faster. in the liner notes it was said to be live to millions with live orchestra and colassal presents. and the dance moves are classic

@dianamaryflorence See i don't get why people gave you negative votes. Diana had the voice that berry was looking for to cross over to the pop charts. In my opinion Florence and Diana were the two singers with the most ability. Mary had a lovely contralto but that was about it. Diana and Florence could hit those high notes like no other honey!

but anyway if flo and mary couldn't have more leads okay... but the most offpissing is how the climate in the group was and mary and especially flo were moved more and more into the back to make place for diana ross as a solo artist

that really should have been different

Right now I see Christmas as being overrated but listening to classic Xmas songs including Nat King Cole and Motown's talented artists (The Supremes, Jackson 5, Stevie Wonder, and etc.) makes remember why I still have a soft spot for Xmas and it shows what it's all about.

I see you alsohave the Xmas spirit early as well. This is my favorite Christmas album with the original line-up of Supremes! I also love Nat, Johnny Mathis, Ella, Judy Garland, the Jackson 5, Doris Day, Bing Crosby, Perry Como, Mahalia Jackson, Gladys Knight  & the Pips and the tempting Temptations!

Diana's phrasing and enunciation create a "style" of delivery that more than makes up for any vocal shortcomings...not-to-mention her charisma!She "sold" it baby!Don't hate...Mary and Flo needed to be taking notes!
