yes by ban from the newfoundland fisherman, see with fish farms the goverment haven,t got to watch all us fisherman but that cod is like the carrots their force growed make no wonder the people are die,in at a younger age TELL IT LIKE IT IS here in newfoundland the school teacher got more fish to catch then the fisherman tell it right so the mainlanders know the truth
@237Michael not banned completely..in 1992 about 95 percent of the newfoundland inshore fisherman were forced out , a ban was put on cod fishing for about 5 years..a lot of small boat fisherman recieved government aid and licence buybacks (thats where the all newfoundlanders are welfare bums trash came from)but anyways the fishery did reopen but mostly for offshore factory freezer trawlers owned by corporations..basically the little guy was forced out...but there is a small inshore quota.

@237Michael Nope it is just limmited to 2 times a year ..Late august and early october And your only aloud to take in 5 per person but 15 per boat
