For those that play guitar,its in Bb ,the other chords are F and Eb,the solo is very simple,based on the Bb major scale,but it has a charm which lifts it high above the notes actually played.Buskers can put a capo on 1st fret and play A,D and E.The hit version is in A but it may be Bb speeded up.
I was in 6th grade when I heard "Shelia." I cannot remember the name of the group that put that song out, but I know it was not this group because the sound is entirely different. I must say that I like this version much better than the one I remember hearing. This is an oldie for sure! Thanks for a memorable post.
I like this version better than the 62 version.Has a much better driving rhythm. The guitar solo at 1:00 - 1:15 has a Ritchie Valens similarity. Thank you for a great post. Been looking for this one for a long time. Thank you again .
