  • Thanks! This was very helpful, cleared out a lot of things

  • Great vid Cyber been looking forward to this one for a while :D

  • Hi, I'm training my biceps every day but without taking steroids, synthetic proteins or other shit, risk of hypertrophy peck?

  • @nostradamus1915 That will more likely result in a *lack* of hypertrophy, because you are overtraining your biceps.

  • @nostradamus1915 you should train them every 3rd day, otherwise you wont recover, and possibly become catabolic and make them smaller

  • @TheJimmyjamslam yes, now i'm training them 3 times per week in the gym. Another question: for the abdominal is the same or should I train them every day? Thanks.

  • @nostradamus1915 in my opinion, the best way to get abs is to do ab work every 2nd day, plus cardio, you can do the cardio whenever you want, this includes like a 20 minute SLOW jog, that is the best way to burn the fat in the area, the ab exercises such as crunches, twists etc are just for the developement of the muscle under it. If you do ab crunches by themselves without any cardio it will take years to see your abs

  • Folks, I have no idea why this video is displayed with 240p. I uploaded 720p. Sorry about that! :(

  • @RoliToliPoli Thanks man! :)

  • Acromegaly

  • Excellent stuff Evil. So its better to alternate each workout from low rep to high rep range in order to get maximum muscle confusion and growth = hypertrophy

  • @WhisperOfDeath2 Exactly, man, exactly!

  • Great video Evil :) this topic had to be covered, and you did a great job.

one thing i'd like to ask in your opinion how often should you vary your workout ? as in how often should you stray away from the same old program / rep ranges.

  • @xenonnati Good question! Personally I do it in two instances: When I get bored with an exercise or when I plateau on it.

  • Good vid!

However, my three most important rules would probably be as follows:

    1. Sufficient intensity (%1RM) (in effect same as resistance)

    2. Sufficient workload (definitely more important than nutrition, as insufficient workload will not cause adaptation and excessive workload will limit recovery)

    3. Nutrition, namely sufficient protein intake.

  • @hmfr34k Thank you! That makes a nice, more elaborate addition to what I said in the video!

  • is there something wrong with only doing pushup and pullup workouts + cardio?

  • @moddingpc If you throw in a couple of crunches and except for the fact that you won't be doing much for your legs, no. Both are great, fundamental compounds and when you vary the execution from time to time (eg. wide push-ups for more difficulty or declined push-ups for different muscle emphasis), they can take you a long way.

  • @Evilcyber

    thank you :)

  • @xenonnati Done!

  • You honestly are what healthy people should look like, some people go into weightlifting and healthier life style expecting to look big like Arnold or something. Me being one of those people failed on my healthy lifestyle but now I'm trying to drink more water and weight lift and get healthier foods in my diet.

  • @ThePJAdventure Thank you, that was a great compliment and what you said is basically at the heart of why I do my videos!

  • @ThePJAdventure what irks me is family members telling me i'm too thin. i'm 74" tall and 200lbs. lol. I think the idea of a healthy look is distorted these days.

  • With creatine, there is an increase of fluid in the muscles.. Would this be considered hypertrophy?

  • @RippedSupreme VERY interesting question, one that never occurred to me. Technically you could say, yes, that is the case.

  • do you workout yourself? especially weight training

  • @putenbruest

yepp he does.. check out his other vids .. and his before and after pics you'd be very surprised to see how far along he's got. :)

  • @xenonnati Thanks Xen! :)

  • @58jtaylor he was actually outside. it's funny.
