Does anyone have the "statue" routine where he worn a grey unitard type outfit. That was incredible and I would love to see the whole thing again. ??????
(continued) Mark is often the standard because of his superior dance moves, his handling, rolls and executing the big tricks. Hes the all in one package. Ginette Groome is another wonderful coach former champion. I can watch her twirl all day even today. And shes totally underrated. So is Annetta Lucero. Back in the day she debuted the rolls you now do. Its totally splitting hairs as to who is better and ultimately comes down to personal preference.
Michael Cruz and John Chamberlain set the stage for Glenn. See where I am going with this? Glenn in his time is wonderful and as a coach. But to say one person started it all leaves out a whole bunch of great athletes.
Seishi is spectacular to watch yes, but Mark - grace, form, flexibility, athleticism, passion, drama - he, to me, is the total package in a twirler. There are other twirlers I love to watch for various reasons but for me, he brought all these things together in every performance. When you mixed that with the choreography of "Maria" it was a performance for the ages.....
Bard..you could argue recent champion seishi inagaki..however it was Mark that pioneered this stuff. Look for the five stars baton biography on here by mouseinstinct. Theres more info on Mark there.
Twirlerdb if i remember correctly, it was 1988. So if anyone has the footage....

Let's get it all right. Glenn Bittenbender set the stage. Glenn is so unrated as a coach and a world champion in his own right.

Was there ever a twirler this spectacular? This performance should have been aired world wide... Is there a bio or history on Mark?
