  • @johnpatrickrunnels ok.yeah,i tried one a while back.from what i remember i wasn't blown away by it.

  • @johnpatrickrunnels yeah, it does, poor use of words, my b

  • I've ownd the RE 150, RE 201 and two RE-301 Chorus Echos. In my humble opinion the 301 was by far the most versatile and best sounding of the three

  • @Keyboardman88 Having owned all of them, how do you feel the re 20 stacks up in comparison? Obviously the RE 20 will not replace any of those units, but for the monetarily challenged individual, do you feel this unit does that Roland Analog sound justice?

  • @leonkennedy74 The RE-20 sounds very close to the unit that it was designed to emulate: the RE-201. From what I can tell, it has the same Echo/Reverb combinations and sounds very close. I make this statement based on that I've only heard it with a guitar played through it. I used my unit(s) with my PA/Sound System as a unit to add Reverb/Delay first to the vocals, and second to the instruments. Of the three Roland tap echo units that Iv owned, I like the ambient sounds of the RE-301 the best

  • gt a dd-6 or 7 and a space eco ....... i think delay should only go soo far

  • So what if it's digital? I would love to hear someone point out for a change that analog gear is usually two or three times more expensive and also that not every single song is meant to feel "warm."

Jonny Greenwood has used this with guitars and Ladytron has used it with keyboards. I found one for $125 and I'm tempted to get it.

  • @TheClublove Is that what they teach to say at the Soundware Sales Institute? "Soundware salesmen: if you can't make a valid point take pot shots by comparing apples to oranges."

    Gimme a break!

  • The GS-201 - GSi - Soundware for musicians plug in emulation eats this for lunch. UAD's and Rolands RE-201 pedal don't even get 50% close to the colour unlike the GS-201 at 99% for $19. Shame on you Roland & UAD.

  • sorry to be a nerd but, the re-20 is a digital immitation of an analog delay...

  • @TacooGrill sorry to disappoint you, but it's pure ANALOG!

  • @NikoGot

No, actually you're both wrong. The re-20 is a digital imitation of a tape delay unit.

Neither fully analog nor fully digital.

Yet this pedal is fully digital.

  • @TacooGrill just what i was thinking, dont think ill waste my money on one of these

  • Hate to break it to you, but the RE-20 is not analog. It's a digital pedal using Boss' COSM modeling to reproduce the sounds of the original Roland RE-201 Space Echo. That said, it sounds really good especially for ambient spacey stuff. It's one of my favorite effects.

  • Is it analog?

  • man since you got 2 delays gimme one of them

i prefer the re-20 but i like the dd too :P

  • Better than the majority of demos!

  • trippy...

  • Does the RE-20 re-sample on the fly? or just repeats the one initial sample a variable amount of times ( modern digi delays)?

    Thanks.

  • it's not your regular digital delay...

  • Hey dude should i get this or a dd20?

  • get the dd-20 if you need alot of options in ur delay playing get the re-20 if u want a pretty good emulation of a multi-head tape delay

  • honky, honky

  • dude... next time use your pedals to their FULL potential... show us what this thing is capable of and crank some of them nobs up!

  • can u tell me what you were playing. i really liked it

  • nice

  • good sound!!
