  • Mooncraft? Is that some sort of MineCraft rip-off? :P

  • its a jinn

  • It's Neil Armstrong. He left his wallet back on the Moon.

  • ok u dont know if thats moon craft. its inbetween the light of the moon and ur relative position. its probably a bird or a plane or meteor... or a moon craft. it could be anything

  • @rywire90 I am NOT trying to be rude but there are no birds and planes in space and it can't be a metore because it would have been faster and have a"sparking" behind it and yet nobody is 100% positive and trust me I am NOT being rude I am just making a point that nobody is 100% positive its just my opionion.

  • @alexisheartsmyhair there are birds and planes in our atmosphere. you dont know where that object is. your just assuming its in space.

  • @rywire90 I didnt say its in space havent you realize its ABOVE THE MOON what bird will be hovoring over the moon

  • I didn't see anything and I watched it 20 times.

  • That will be Chang'e 1, launched in 2007, Chinese lunar satellite.

  • it moves like a ROD

  • i watched this 4 times and i cant see anything ..can someone tell me where it is

  • A BIRD! x

  • Yes " Yes " Yes , Good Post " . Yo tambien registro cosas asi tipo ROD . saludos

  • could be a sattellite just think they move around 10 to 18 thousand miles per hour and moons diameter is only around 2000 miles they could travel around the moon bout 5 to 8 times an hour now thats fast. just saying

  • So, you don't think it's possible that NASA has a satellite of some kind in orbit, around the moon?

  • And satellite move that fast??

  • I don't kno, dude...I was jst speculating. Seen ours streak across the sky and it moves pretty fast.

  • @luismanuel1978 Thats what i was saying! satellites dont move that fast and close to the moon

  • ok. I know its not a satellite.

  • It could possibly be an asteroid but don't think its that easily picked up by a camera or scope

  • interessant!

  • I see things flyby with my telescope regularly. Usually about every 10 mins or so you'll see stuff, funny thing is sometimes they cast shadow on the moon sometimes they change course.

  • It was a bird or bat out beyond the telescope, and out of focus that close, with the telecope on high magnification. Not an object close to the Moon

  • It's my nose ring....I got a bad cold.

  • Hahaha!

  • man, it's just some dirty thing sticked to your telescope lens..

  • Nice catch.

  • Debris? There's a lotta shit in space. I mean, somebody's gotta catch the spacejunk. Right?

ahaa. Just messing. But seriously. Debris?

    Btw, nice video.

  • wait a minute... ITS SUPERMAN!!!

seriously tho, its an object scientifically proven to be an object. People dont realise there is an alien moon base on the dark side.

  • Awesome catch...very intriguing indeed :) 5*****!

  • that's intriguing..

  • thanks for posting this

    very interesting

  • satalite

  • its a meteor, it IS the moon btw all the craters and stuff

  • This is not a meteor. To see a meteor at this distance through this telescope, it would have to be the size of a football stadium because it wouldn't leave a burning trail in space. Meteors would also flash by very fast if captured in our atmosphere.

And of course this is the Moon in the background...What do you think I was recording...?

    X

  • @Xuackerman No its not a meteor, its a meteoroid, because the moon has no atmosphere, and the meteoroid doesn't shine because it didn't entered Earths Atmosphere, it went in between, althought that went directly to the moon that could have been another crater.

  • I've done satellite watching for years. Even through binoculars, sats move across the FOV very fast. I've been observing through my 10" dobs and had a sat come through the FOV and scare the sh*t out of me because it was so bright and so fast. The fact that the object in the video is moving relatively slowly suggests to me that it is quite far away, much closer to the moon than to the earth. ISS would have been moving very fast and very bright. That wasn't ISS.

  • who was the second scientist to be on the moon after neil-arm-strong?

  • buz aldrin i think

  • hmm.... not to mention.. the ISS footprint would be a LOT bigger than that... considering it's shadow is being cast by the only light source in our solar system... duh... put ur hand in front of a light and see how BIG ur shadow on the wall is... wutever that shadow was... it was near the moon.... no doubt

  • It's fastwalker!

    Google the term: Fastwalkers

  • Whats on this video is not an UFO, its just simply the INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION. If you happen to be looking at the moon through a telescope and happen to be a very but very lucky person you can also see the space staion passing over the moon. George from Laredo, Texas U.S.

  • Not the ISS. It's too small and traveling in the opposite direction.

    X

  • @Xuackerman It's travelling in that direction because the original clip is through a reflecting telescope. There are dozens of videos of the ISS on youtube and they all look like this one. You can use software and orbit patterns to work out a transit like this and get your scope ready - like this person who did the original video did before some spammer decided to get you to join some whebsite reposted it.

  • lol your a dickhead if u think it's the iss. if it was the iss it would be a lot larger then a tiny dot travelling across the moon. i hate skeptics because they can't hack the truth and they make up complete BS.

  • ITS THE SPACE STATION

  • probably a space rock

  • looks like a bird to me looks like wings flaping.

  • Probably a gnat!!

  • I'd suggest it was most probably just a satellite as well. Heavens Above doesn't list everything.

  • Lol, you crack me up.

  • Hey Xuack, well done with your SCT scope! Yes I saw that 'streak'! Cool, real cool...

  • looks like a bug going across ur lens, would be cool tho

  • WQW - fastwalker!

  • That's a satelite allright .

I ran your time and date through starry night pro to see which one if any .

I have uploaded a simulation if it on my account .

  • This is not a satellite. The only thing in that position near that time was an old booster rocket in our orbit and it's tumbling. And passed by 8 minutes earlier.

This is confirmed by the site:

    "heavens-above" Check it out.

  • Ah old booster rockets are not in Starry night's database so i'm gonna take your word for it . :)

Nice job on these video's though .

  • Something wonderful is going to happen.
