I can understand to an extent what you been through my dad never put his hands on my mother although he tried to once but my younger brother hid the belt but he was very verbally abuse towards my mother and myself as well. She never told a soul and there was no evidence but I just knew, 100% what was going on but no one believed me. She lived in that house for 15 years and became a different person, he destroyed her. I get how much courage it takes to own up to what you're doing, but think about what you're doing. It's not beneficial to you, your partner, or anyone available to see it. If you really want to change, then get help.

DV SUCKS!!! Its a sad thing that alot of people go threw. I went threw it and thought it was something all kids go threw. THIS IS NOT NORMAL. I know it might be hard but speak up! HAVE A VOICE. i went though it to and i called the police. my dad first hit me when i was 5 years old i called the police at age 15. i couldn't take it anymore so i ran away my mom knew were i was going to a friends house my dad didt know in till one day my mom called me and i answered it and it was my dad i was so scared and that's when i could not take it anymore i was 15 when i called the police my dad was sent to jail for 4 years because of DV now my mom have a bf and a baby on the way and me i am HAPPY
I know just what you've been through. But for me it was my mum and her boyfriend. My mum was also violent to my dad, and some people seem to forget that domestic violence isn't just men being abusive towards women. It works both ways.
I've witnessed DV many times, but unlike you, in most cases, it was mothers abusing their sons and husbands, so I know what you are saying. I had a stepfather that was, at times, physically abusive, but his daughter was much more abusive toward my side of the family, in the emotional sense. I think that emotional abuse is much worse than physical. If I could have, I would have the children taken away from some mothers. Still, it happens both ways, like your experience shows.
Your such an inspirational person, I've been through domestic abuse and now its left me broken, fucked up and while I wad going through it I turned to self harm. But I know that help is out there and its scary at first but things will get better. Tell your mum she is amazing, beautiful and give her a hug from me.

I used to be the one watching it cause my dad used to hit my mum. then I became the reciever when they got divorced.. now I'm the one giving it. it's a cycle.I'm not proud of my temper but when Im pissed all I wanna do is hit people or stuff.. I get how much courage it takes to own up to what you're doing, but think about what you're doing. It's not beneficial to you, your partner, or anyone available to see it. I'm not sure whether you live in the UK or not but there's literally loads of help out there for you, although most help is more focused on the victim. try contacting Samaritans, you can just send them an email or call them. DV SUCKS!!! Its a sad thing that alot of people go threw. I went threw it and thought it was something all kids go threw. THIS IS NOT NORMAL. I know it might be hard but speak up! HAVE A VOICE. I saw my dad try to kill my mom and it was horrific. I remember every detail, and sometimes I wish i didnt. The best thing that you can do is see a DV councilor! i went though it to and i called the police. my dad first hit me when i was 5 years old i called the police at age 15. i couldn't take it anymore so i ran away my mom knew were i was going to a friends house my dad didt know in till one day my mom called me and i answered it and it was my dad i was so scared and that's when i could not take it anymore i was 15 when i called the police my dad was sent to jail for 4 years because of DV now my mom have a bf and a baby on the way and me i am HAPPY

I've witnessed DV many times, but unlike you, in most cases, it was mothers abusing their sons and husbands, so I know what you are saying. I had a stepfather that was, at times, physically abusive, but his daughter was much more abusive toward my side of the family, in the emotional sense. I think that emotional abuse is much worse than physical. If I could have, I would have the children taken away from some mothers. Still, it happens both ways, like your experience shows.
