@gorillaconna Gothic Lolita is asian because it originated in Japan. It may be based off of Victorian girl's clothing and the ideals of the Rococo movement, but the fashion still originated in Japan. It branched out of Otome Kei, which is another Japanese alternative fashion.

Back in the '90's polka dots were considered very un-Lolita and there was a huge debate in the early 00's I think about whether polka dots should be allowed to be considered Lolita. Lolita was a lot less flashy than that. This is how we know that that is 100% coincidence.

@NippleOfNippon I'm not remotely wrong. You clearly have no idea about the origins of Lolita fashion, so you should try doing a little research before you start telling people what's right and wrong. When Lolita started, it was all about elegance. Their outfits would have been considered far too tacky. Google FYeahLolita's "Very Old School Lolita" article on the origins of Lolita fashion. Do you see polka dots? Mini-dresses like the white one?

Well I wouldn't recommend cosmates because their prices are higher then when you buy them from the manufacturer like Fan+Friend or Bodyline (price difference can range from 1 dollar to 30 dollar). Also if you order at cosmates it will take longer before it will be shipped since the shipment has to go to cosmates first then it will be shipped to your address...

But if you don't mind the price differences and the longer shipping then it would be a good choice ^^

Oh yes, I would also like to say that the only lolita style that is gothic is Mana-Sama (if it even is lolita) Also, the moi-même-moitié style is BLENDED with Elegant gothic lolita, and is also flat out said to be mixed with industrial goth instead. Which is why the word means "my own space", it is much different. As you can see with black lipstick, white face, sometimes long straight gowns and tu-tus instead of petticoats, many crosses, goth/emo platform boots and looks sort of vampire-ish.
