  • 80s was definitely the best decade for music

  • i used to listen to her and neko case, sheryl crow and tons of other ladies on the 90's

  • Why there are no singers like her anymore??? What a shame!!!!

  • This is the most depressing song I've ever heard in my life! It's like something out of The Bell Jar, one of the most depressing and horrible novels ever written!

  • No one has any IDEA how LONG I've been searching for this!!! FINALLY, I've found it!!!

  • @AutumnMystry Me too! Now my life is complete!

  • @chicocool7 Lol! Well, there're always gonna be more songs to look up (at least for me.) ^^

  • @AutumnMystry

Nay!! I contend that indeed I do. Another singer's voice reminded me of Leah Andreone's, but of course I couldn't remember Leah Andreone's name or the name of the song or any of the lyrics, just her voice (useless memory). I only knew it didn't make Billboard 100 (doesn't exactly narrow the hits), solo female singer, circa 1996-1998, and possible allusion to nursery rhyme or fairy tale. After furious googling, I found it. Oh joy, oh rapture even!

  • @seymourmonkee Well, I wouldn't call that a useless memory since at least you knew the song still (there have been favorite songs & even entire favorite bands I've forgotten before, & couldn't remember until I heard them again. It's weird, like a type of amnesia. Sometimes I'd recognize an old fave song instantly, other times I'd feel a crazy sense of deja vu then realize I'd heard it before. Sometimes I wouldn't remember until months after listening!)

  • c'est excellent

  • I love this song!!!!! what a amazing years were the 90's

  • Thank you for posting!!!

  • best !!

  • Her Veiled album is essential.

  • this brings back memories :D

  • This great song reminds me of my childhood...Music was better in the 90's than it is currently...

  • For me, the whole get-up between Andreone and Tisdale also might draw a parallel over the issue of R&B group Blackstreet's cover version of The Beatles' 1964 "Can't Buy Me Love," which they re-recorded as "(Money Can't) Buy Me Love" in 1996 (same year as the song this video represents!). But Blackstreet's version was sung very differently although both Lennon and McCartney were credited in the composition.

  • Leah is f***ing weird !

  • the best than .i hate a ashley tisadle XP

  • great song.. that's a long time i looked for it.. and didn't remember the singer.. now i know... it's not true , the best decade was the 80's.. 90's was dance attitude, and a lot of copycat... 80's was great, except the clothes.. so ugly.. lol

  • @sihemflower This was made in the '90s, genius.

  • @sihemflower

And the '70s... yeah, that was full of disco that some call cheese, especially songs by the Bee Gees (and their youngest bro, Andy Gibb).

  • Dommage introuvable sur Deezer!!!! J'adorais sa voix.

    Que de souvenirs!!!!!

  • I think that people are taking this Ashley Tisdale thing too far - both songs have the same name, but Tisdale's isn't a cover - it's a completely different song. Don't trash her for it. It's like Jill Sobule and Katy Perry both having songs called "I Kissed a Girl." Same title, NOT the same song.

  • exactly

  • But when Ashley Tisdale ended up covering this song 11 years after this first came out, Leah Andreone thought that she was receiving mechanical royalties for this song.

  • Comment removed

  • Massive nostalgia for me! This is a great song, and it has good lyrics. Yay for you Leah!

  • Thanks for posting this. I heard it on the radio back in the 90's and liked it, but I never knew who sang it.

  • Both the 80's and mid-late 90's (95-98) saw some pretty amazing music. I'm still waiting for a renaissance......waiting.

  • super cool

sa me rapel beaucoup de chose

surtout de grosses sortie en pub

  • Ashley Tisdale's rewritten version: Unlistenable.

This version by Leah Andreone: Excellent!

  • nice

  • 90's -> the BEST decade....

  • I preferred the 80s.

  • My boyfriend prefer the 80's too, but that's my opinion ^^

  • @ChanaRules SO TRUE !

  • @ChanaRules no WAY...60, 70 and 80s is much better but some of the 90s was good

  • In the 90s, I heard this song, and memorized a handfull of lyrics. When Google was invented, I entered the lyrics . In 2005, I finally found out whose words I remembered all these years.

  • shes tailor swift.

  • Somehow her weird voice works with this song...

  • good song bad singer

  • If you folks hate this so much, why are you here?

Personally I think she's awesome... This isn't my favorite of her songs (check out Something I can Feel, You Don't Exist, Lamentation, Dive in, etc).

  • Ever since this song came out I actually bought the cassette single. I loved the diffrent way for her to sing its her own style. great song and music.

  • I like Ashley Tisdale's It's Alright, It's Ok better, but it's a different song...............

  • Yes, that's it.

  • what? what! wow. sorry. not to be rude. but really... high school musical star versus this? i don't think i'll ever understand this world.

  • not to be rude to, but how'd u come up with HSM? NOT BEING RUDE!! just asking

  • ashely tisdale... hsm. not really real ya know... leah andreone has soul... bleh. she is way better!!!

  • this is my opinion k? >>> I like Ashley better! don't fight with me

  • to me she doesnt sound to good but to all the fans pleas dont tell m ofrf or something like that because its my opinion or how ever you spell that lol

  • *

She has a particular way to sing.

Musically, the final result is succesfull

because all the elements complement well.

    She owns the song.

    I like it.

    .

  • good song, but she sing really bad

  • haha i know i agree with patriciaevery this is what she said: Oh my GOD! this sucks so bad!

did you guys here the part not even half way throught the song where she trys to go really high and she sounds like a freakken seal?

  • wow this is a great song hope ashley tisdale makes it better just like she did in time after time and heaven is a place on earth

    ASHLEY ROCKS :D

  • hiii!!

is this the song that ashley tisdale is going to release this month its alright, its ok????

she just has on her youtube channel a preview from it not the whole thing!!

  • I can't help but wonder what kinda notes she hits during sex.

  • ok now thats kinda funny

  • it's not a remake.

  • you like totally wrong ashley tisdales one is completely different and it was written for HER not a remake!! get you facts straight before you say stupid crap

  • I was listening to this on my mix tape from '97. The radio version is a little different. I still like the song though. This is much better than what is popular today.

  • I loved this song and still love it now!

  • I love Leah!!

  • Saw her in So Call in the 90's..GREAT PERFORMER!

  • zwaar kut!!!

  • @))* 2008 ***!!**!*!

  • I got both of her albums in 2000 when all items at a local record store were being sold out and I was impressed with the high quality of both of these releases.

I've always found it a shame that she didn't release anything ever since but apparently she's recently released an EP with unreleased songs, so I'll try to get that one.

I can attest to the dire state of the music business, maybe the problem is bigger in the States than over here in Europe but talented musicians are always appreciated.

  • Andreone was signed in the wake of Alanis Morisette's success and it's a shame RCA didn't permit her to record a third album after the whole Alanis and Lilith Fair period cooled off. My favorite track on the second album is "Inconceivable." I imagine Bette Midler (!) covering it as a balls-to-the-wall rocker. Great lyric and song, co-written by the gents from The Hooters. I really like her voice in general--it kind of has a "mad kewpie doll" quality to it, and I mean that as a compliment!

  • awesome! i love leah andreone.

  • whats this about??

  • I love the 90's, great video and music, yay.

Check out my other favorites in my channel, also in "My videos" section I put some of my soap operas videos, let me know what you think. Excelente video

Chequeate mis otros favoritos. Por cierto, si te vas a mi canal me puedes ver actuando en mis novelas, jejeje.

  • her voice is funny

  • nice song! what a beautiful voice she has! ^^

  • Nice song! What a beautiful voice she has! ^^

  • toute mon enfance...<3

  • This is the only song I have heard of hers, but I think she's a great songwriter and singer, but she's not overly commercial so I can see why she didn't "make it big." But I hope she is still making music and doing her thing, because she's very talented.

  • I remember buying the single to It's Alright, It's OK. The lyrics are well written and Leah has an amazing voice!

  • There's a Scandinavian candy commercial that uses the 'It's alright, it's okay' part of the song in it. Thanks to the commercial I found this song <3 (:

  • Wow, what a beautiful song from a beautiful singer. The whole Veiled album is remarkable. Talent like Leah's is underrated.

  • A very catchy song with a storyline many could relate to--I first heard this on a modern rock station in summer 1996--the song reminded me of an attractive girl in my poetry class that fall who was also a singer.

  • reminds me of 1997

  • been looking for this song since 1998........thanks for posting it!!!!!

  • she has the best lyrics altough shesdosent have the best vokal! love her lyrics

  • Played it at Z100 /NYC in 1996!!!!!

  • I have this promo poster board of her, sitting cross-legged and barefoot, looking as cute as can be. She's great, just wish she had hit it big with the fickle populace.

  • i hate

  • never seen her before, i accidently came upon this vid. she looks old... and a smoker...

but watever i guess some ppl love her XD

  • perhaps some people like her for her music.. =;)

Instead of all the brainless pretty-dolls running around these days

  • in italy i'm the only one know her ahahah

  • Trust me, I feel that way in america too haha.

  • No, I'm the other one! Good music and beautiful blue eyes :D

  • Been a fan of Leah's since this song came out and FINALLY I've seen the video!

  • yeah... i've liked it since 5th grade hehe

  • yay i always end up trying to find this song xoxo

  • OMG!! =D =D =D

  • oh my Good!!! Summer of '97 what memories I just want to cry!! sob!! ='(

  • gosh i have been looking for this song since like 1998 i glad i found it

  • It's all right ? It's ok... :-)

  • such an awesome song....i wish could become an artist and collaborate with her to revive her

  • joh2 said it all. Where did the good music go?

  • Random vid!!! - I can't believe though the record companies would rather focus on regurgitated unlistenable 'manufactured' bubblegum (i.e Britney) music during the late 1990s instead of realistic singer-songwriter material like this...

  • holy crap... and look at the state of music now! Youtube is the new mtv (among other things!) but as for mainstream i personally don't know of any source of music. its all rap first (mind you- rap that sucks) and then the lesser pop. bleh. AND i don't like my chemical romance and crap like that. :( leah andreone is great. my mom use to listen to her when I was eight or so and I was loved her music.

  • i used to love this!

  • please can somebody help me find leah andreone- lamentation.. i've tried to download it from many places but it doesn't seem do exist anywhere

  • I love this song!

  • In middle school I believe I was in 8th grade, I had this inside joke with a friend. Everytime one of us would say "It's Alright" which was quite frequently the other one would say "yeah yeah it's alright it's okay killing time just watching the grass grow" and we would start talking about this song for a few minutes. But this album Veiled is fuckin awesome I can't count the amount of times I've listened to it.

  • When I was in 8th grade in middle school this song came out. I thought it was the best thing I had ever fucking heard in my entire life.

  • if you don't have the cd you should get it. It's very good.

  • Such a great song. A shame she didn't make it any larger than she did. Old school 1997 style video =D.

  • finally, thank you very much :)

  • great! you should put up Lamentation!!!
