Wouldn´t it be more convenient, instead of that lcd screen, to show that information in a headup display, just like the 5 series? I wonder if this is functional when you want to see some information while making a long turn, and your steering wheel places that screen upside down...

I saw this wheel at the dealership the other day. Amazing what they can place on a "humble" steering wheel, LOL...the only thing I didn´t liked was the tiny buttons at both sides of the wheel (11 o´clock and 2 o´clock positions), they are covered in leather, and bet you surely after some months of hard use, this area will be shiny while the rest of the rim will keep that leathery appearance. Other than that, amazing.

@manchiscap Yes. I had my dealer track one down at another BMW dealership out of state. I was told that BMW recently discontinued the Performance Steering Wheel but some dealers still have them in stock. You have to be sure to order the right one, with or without the paddles. If you have the M-Sport steering wheel, they simply swap the air bag assembly. This may not be the case with some other 135i stock steering wheels. Best to get the specific details from BMW parts dept.

The rev lights can be adjusted to driving preference. OPtimal would be to set it at your RPM cross maximum power output and torque. Or you can set it to something lower for more efficient driving.

@gregisnumerouno If you order your car from Germany you have the option of km/h or mph cluster... or you can change everything to km/h via the iDrive. I have a Feb '09 e92 and it's in km/h

As for the wheel, the lights are adjustable. That's why it's called "BMW PERFORMANCE STEERING WHEEL", so you can adjust it for you needs or race and know when is the best moment to shift up. For this video I set it on around 3k RPM so I don't wake up the whole building.
