  • this patinet need to be shocked! QUICKEY!

  • The difference between Torades (de pointes) and VF:

Torsades de pointes shows a different, a bit regular ECG like shown in this video --> big 'tops' and small 'tops' are alternating.

v-fib is much more irregular, often with only small 'tops' on the ECG

  • plz carefully

  • If anyone can tell me how to differentiate between Torsades and coarse v-fib, it would be greatly appreciated

  • vfib! cpr then dfib the patient immediately 200 joules....

im clear you are clear everybody clear! shock delivered...

  • V-fib is a ryhthm in ventrices. resulting in no cardic output and leaving the brain dead.

  • Would you consider this Torsades de Pointes?

  • @Biruk2002 No, because torsades is a form of V-Tach. Typically Torsades also presents as a regular rhythm, but varying voltage. Magnesium deficiency, most likely.

  • heart is quivering

  • oh lawdy this person is dead..... well almost

  • i thought v-fib was a tachy not brady

  • @MelnDyl2010

V-fib isn't tachy OR brady since the ventricles aren't really contracting , they're just shaking, so the atrium doesn't push any blood to the ventricles and also the ventricles aren't contracting either. The monitor shown here doesn't have arrythmia analysis so each time that the monitor views an "R" wave look a like it doesn't have the technology to think otherwise so, it shows a heart rate. No blood is outputted to the rest of the body in ventricular fibrillation.

  • what song is that, if i may ask

  • He wAs

  • I guess I'm frustrated b/c I was in a code the other day and the MD was treating the wrong rhythm, andh

  • @ jhamlin726...

  • @cmoroz215 No RN, just a paramedic student. I ain't mad at ya. :)

  • @jhamlin726 where at?? being a student that is

  • Stupid tape... Looks like something on ' House ' or 'ER. ' are you trying to teach something or make a video with music? If you're in the medical field, I'm embarrassed ..

  • @cmoroz215 Why would you be embarrassed? The music fits quite well. What's embarrassing is your judgmental attitude.
