Probably my favorite female action hero movie ever! I think by now it has probably gained a bit of a cult status but it was a total box office flop at the time. Geena Davis is so good in it! What made it good was that she was both strong and vulnerable at times and always needed help along the way. She was not portrayed as invincible or ridiculously powerful. I keep thinking about this movie now because of the release of Salt.

I remember I so badly wanted to go to movie theatre to see this but this was forbidden for people under the age of 16 and I was 12 years old in december of '96 and living in a municipality which didn't have a 'real' movie theatre, so I usually tried to get to the city near my home place to experience a real movie theatre.

But I never even tried to get in to see this because this was banned from minors.

This is the best action movie i have ever seen! I saw this movie on television once and ever since i wanted to have it in my movie collection, i found it for about 3 days ago and bought it. Then i watched it and was totally amazed by the gorgeous action sequences and the superb acting of the actors. I can't understand why this movie only has 6.6/10 on IMDB! It should have at least 9.0.

Everybody keeps commenting about the "holes in the plot" but they never say what the holes are.
