  • JAJAJA...EL PRIMER COMERCIAL ESTA BIEN MAMON...JAJAJA

  • anybody thought this truck was a bit ugly when it came out? but over the time passed it was badass :D

  • umm i think i would not do that in my truck.I got a 1998 ford f150.but it is a v6 with a 4.2l in it.and it is a 2 wheel drive truck.god damn 2 wheel drive truck's.

  • the 1997-2004 Ford F-150 was assembled in

    Cuautitlan, Mexico

    Kansas City, Missouri, USA

    Norfolk, Virginia, USA

    São Bernardo do Campo, Brazil

    Louisville, Kentucky, USA

    Oakville, Ontario, Canada

    Valencia, Venezuela

  • i love my parents 97 such a sweet truck to drive she has the 4.2 v6 in it :) good MPG

did better then a mini van

  • I miss my 2001 Ford F-150 should have never sold it dirve a 1994 Chevy Impala SS now planing on getting another 2001 F-150 in October!

However on the plus side my 1995 Ford Econoline 250 Cargo Van still going strong. Cast Iron straight 6 made at Brookpark Engin and Casting Plant Brook Park, Ohio then assembled at Lorain/Avon Assembly!

  • 1980-1996 were the golden years of the F150. Back then, if you bought an F150 you bought a real truck. Not.. whatever the hell THAT is.

  • @MikeReiner 80-96? what about 73-79? those were pretty badass

  • @ZOSOrulz1 That's true. I'm just more fond of the 80-96 years. My buddie has a '78 F150 Ranger, total beast.

  • @MikeReiner my friend had a 77 f150 4wd, headers, 351M, just plain badass. he had to sell it

  • @hickster699 Atleast FORD didnt take a bailout! Dodge took one in the 70's and this last one and my grandpa has had his 63 f-100 since it was new and its all original . In case you didnt know there's good and bad in all but ford just sells more! Sales prove the facts!

  • Is you drove a ford you wouldnt need a goodwrench

  • i like the pre 97 designs better. yes the Modular engines do put out more power and torque and do use less gas, but dropping the ultra reliable and powerful 300i6 was the all time stupidest thing Ford ever did. plus everything is just crammed in under the hood in the newer ones, you cant even work on them. its actually easier to unbolt the cab, front fenders, and hood to get to the engine, which is what people have to do now.

  • @ZOSOrulz1 Your right but their all built that way now. Ford, Dodge, and Chevy.

  • @ZOSOrulz1 i bet the reason for dropping the 300 is that they never break down so ford was loosing money on replacement parts.....so comes the 4.2

  • i have a 1997 ext cab V6 with 256,XXX miles and has never broken on me. still runs and hauls like it should, chek out the video i have of it towiing a 1 ton bar b q pit.

  • I like the Super Duty series more than the 97-Present F-150s.

    I still love my '95.

  • To mexicn14 I have to disagree cause chevy is not on top... Because chevy almost went bankrupt not to long ago but they got bailed out... And did ford almost... Um nope they didn't :P

  • chevy like a rock because rocks dont move

  • FUK FORD!!!! CHEVYS ARE ON TOP MA NIIGGAS!!!!! UGLY ASS TRUCKS CHEVYS ENGINES ARE WAY BETTER!!!

  • @mexicn14 wow your reatarded

  • @mexicn14 ese wey..learn how to write

  • @mexicn14 Cracked Head Every Valve Rattles Oil Leaks Every Time First On Race Days.........."nigga"
  • This amazes me. Here it is 2010 and I'm on a broadband connection and it took over 5 minutes to load this minute long video. Love the F-series though. I got a 98 F-150 and I love it.

  • I love my 1997 V6 F150 but........The early 97 V6 trucks had engine problems. Most engines had to be replaced around 75K miles. Every time I go get parts for it I'm asked "Replaced the engine yet" "YES i have" $4,000 out of pocket.

  • i actually have a 1997 ford f150 XLT 4x4 cant say ive ever drove a better truck

  • Beautiful Model

  • SOOO ugly

  • @evinrudeboy6601 SOOO ugly??? I don't think so. I think its a beautiful truck, more than the newer F150s, but I guess that everybody has the right to express its own ideas.

  • Thats when ford quit making trucks and began making S-10's.

    Go 9th generation ford!!!!!!

  • i like when he said DONT MOVE!

  • darn good trucks...my bro got his'97 used in '98 with about 18k miles used, drove the wheels off it, hard till the tranny started to slip at like 150k miles. it was rebuilt and my other brother bought it off him...he drove it to over 210k miles, still with just regular maint. till it was slightly rear ended, repaired and sold. hes got an expo now and wants a truck again ha ha...take care of ur truck and she'll take care of you for years to come

  • my 97 has 260,000 miles on it... all ive done in 2 years ive had it is normal oil changes an alt. and heater core great truck still wish i had my 78 though alot easier to work on lol

  • @trublufan84 i love my 2000 f150 it has 210000 miles and i aint ever hade a tune up. just the fucking coil packs suck..idk y they got rid of the spark plugs?

  • @FordBoy124 Dude I have the exact same promblem with my 1998, still the best damn truck on the road though!!!

  • @FordBoy124 a 2000 f150 has spark plugs, look under your coil packs lol

  • My 04 heritage has 116k on it and i swear that truck is running strong and will continue till the end.

  • i drive a 2002 expedition. Ford 4 life.

  • dads '91 ranger survived 3 accidents, buyers fawned all over it till we sold it, bro's '97 F150 sold with 210k miles with only a tranny rebuild, my 01 Taurus is over 140k with no issues, jus regular maint. we are effectively a Ford Family, and yes Ford 4 life

  • @seniorcat03 does any of the cars you have got the 3.0L? those were legendary!

  • that ranger had the 3.0 OHV V6, and had 150k miles when we got it, and sold with about 230k, still ran well for its age. dad is on his 2nd ranger, a '99 this time, same Vulcan V6, with about 135k miles, just tune up, regular maint. no issues since bought. my taurus has the Duratec 30 and stil has power to burn. my wifes '99 sable has the Vulcan V6 with only about 113k miles and just an alternator/water pump to report...stuff started goin bad cuz it sat a while before it sold.

  • FYI: Built Ford Tough ain't just an advertising slogan. It's how Ford trucks are really built. Just ask the experts AND the people who drive them.

  • YEP!!!! I DRIVE ONE my whole family does!!

  • truer words have not spoken my friend...

  • True True True....

  • @pman1018 My 02 is a piece...the 4.2L sucks (cracked lower intake manifold, computer issues, runs horribly on 85 or 86 octane), clutch is weak as hell with temperamental throwout bearings. U-joints are iffy. Oh this was all before it hit 100k on the odometer. Bumper mounts won't hold what the bumper says it should. Oh how I wish Ford would've but the 3.9L Cummins instead, or even the 300 straights.

  • @pman1018 i agree, the f-series is the first truck ever built back in the days, 2004 truck of the year was the f150, 2009 truck of the year was f150, ford has always been there for us

  • how long has "built for tough " phrase been arround i thought someone thaught it up when the 2001 -150 came out

  • years. 30 or so.

  • hahaaha man these old commercials are corny as fuck

  • hehe when he pulled the grand canyon, thats awesome.

  • dont get it is rated poor in crash test the frontal crash

  • It's good if you hit something straight on, but bad in an offset.

  • Man, how do they do those commercials with abuse to make it tough. If I tried that with the 01 F150 I got, it would be destroyed. Including the off road scenes.

  • LOL BS.... Treat them all like that, and they run and run and run...

  • 97-03s are the "jellybean" styles-GIVE ME WING WINDOWS!

  • +1.I LOVE my vent windows.

  • watch the crash test of this "tough" vehicle

  • Seen it better then cheby.

  • OMG I know!

    =[

  • the offset crash test was barely introduced at that time. Everyone has seen that vid but comparable trucks from GM or Dodge would probobly fare the same. Agreed it was pretty scary but Fords are the epitome of safety today

  • omfg almost every ford pickup commercial has a loader or backhoe dumping rocks/ dirt into the box

  • f-150 1997 1998 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003 serbia

  • f-150 1997 serbia

  • I like the newer Ford F150 trucks from 2004 on.

  • this aint 96...96 was the last year before this body style...this is the least a 97

  • I already posted this video LAST YEAR as a 1996 AD for the 1997 F-150. I don't like answering things that are obvious.

  • then why are you watching stuff on fords?

who is a retarded dumbass now

  • 1997.The worst year for ford trucks.Their trucks just haven't been the same since they changed the bodystyle.Long live 80-96.

  • They aren't too bad, but I like the 78-79 and 87-96 F-series trucks better. Test drove a Lariat I think it was a 99 with manual 4X4 we tried using the 4X4 and the damn thing kept popping into neutral and kept griding....oh well not my truck :)

  • Plus the Cruise control deactivation switch....I'm a 1973-1996 Ford truck guy myself.Never liked the 1997 newer F150.Too much like a car.I like a truck with a bench seat and no power.Don't need no power seats.Or air conditionin.

  • I agree with you buddy. I want an 83 model.

  • Fords Rock!!! But i don't like the commerical.

  • wow i haven't seen this Commercial since i was 4 i remember it now, ford still my favorite till this day ever since i could remember

  • Gawddamn i am just about to hit 90 thousand miles on my Dodge. It seems to run good but the front end eats brakes up like a bitch.

  • i love fords but they wrong for that commercial

  • GM cars are all frills, Ford is way better hands down. Yes, some are underpowered, but they work well

  • i have that exact truck, dont think that would eeeever happen.

  • 7.3 powerstroke yes but they have a lot of problems with the 4.2 liters.

  • My uncle has a 2000 F150 Sport with the 4.2 V6 and 5 speed trans. That truck has over 350,000 miles on it and has never left him stranded. It still runs great and doesn't burn any oil.

  • I can believe that. :)

  • like the 1992-1996 Fords, they are the longest lasting i got just under 250,000 kms on a recently fliped over 4.2L and it runs great, sounds like these are the newest best built truck ever. tons of them on the road, oh wait fords the best truck.

  • ive got a 1983 toyota pickup with 510000 miles on the clock

  • good luck with that v8 chevy motor on gas man....the 97 f150 is great on gas, rides pretty smooth too....wont be spending 200 a week at the pumps..let me as how much does it take u to fill up that tank?..takes me 64.60.

  • 92501riverside, how many times have you reringed that engine and replaced those bearings? lol

Just kidding, but in all seriousness, I've also seen the "almighty 350" send its internals all over the road at anywhere from 70-150k. Ford trucks just last longer. You think your C/K having 310k is something special? Hell, my 1991 F150 Nite with the stock 302 that just turned over 260K and STILL runs like a bat outta hell. I would put my life on the line to say that it will outlast that 350 of yours.

  • damn straight ford v8s forever.
