  • Theres me. my cuzin, and my auntie, oh yeah i almost forgot about my dad too. Im the first gurl, Kendra Kewenvoyouma the second gurl, Waldo Sakeva (my dad) the second buffalo, and Patrice Nuvamsa the third gurl!! Haha we only practice one time...but turned out good!!! =)

  • i wonder what village is that

  • To the best of my knowlege, the Hopi people don't allow their ceremonies to be photographed, or video-taped.

  • Thank you! That was so intersting! I love you, Natives. :-))) Mitakuye Oyasin

  • Hey I see my dad singing!!!

  • a very beautiful dance~ great sound ~ thankyou

  • thiz sonq is similar to 1of my buffalo sonqz here in Zuni.. but thz kew i like it 100% haha.. lahh.

  • wow hear the thunder steps from the buffalos. Great!

  • why would you up load this?

  • NO

    They r NoT

  • @rockboy7789 well the Hopi do speak an Uto-Aztecan / Mexica language.

  • dang wicked! dats cool! didnt know there was buffalo was down southwest. so wat does this dance mean>>

  • For that you would have to ask a New Mexico pueblo for details...but general Hopi side, this is a borrowed style from the other pueblos, most of its meaning can be taken from the time of year its supposed to be preformed, winter- prayer for snow... and the fact that it is an animal- prayer for the abundancy of that animal...please Hopi's correct me if i'm wrong.......

  • @Homaboi1 well buffalos are really suppose 2 be during the winter... but now-a-days ppl bring them out during anytime of the year... the songs tell stories nd pray 4 more snow 2 bring moisture 4 the fields... nd 2 jus pray 4 the ppl in the world...

  • @yunqq602thuqq - I so agree with this. There is a time and place for buffalo dances and all social dances. Hopi's bring dancers every where and anytime of the year to get paid. That's why it's always wind now a days back on Hopi. No respect for the Hopi calendar. Hehehe!

  • @tlo1621 - that's what's happening here with my tribe, too - there are two schools (1) the dancers should be paid and (2) no, this is should be traditional, given gifts but not paid

  • well i am from Zia and our buffalos are a little different but they bring them out more in the winter. and yes it is basically a prayer and they tell stories durning this dance.

  • Very nice...

I suggest you upload the same in 'Dynamycdesi'.It is a online talent contest site for people and gives an award to the 'Best Talent'.
