This car was made to show how much power my base engines could support. The size of the turbo and the set up of the car isnt meant for dragging. Giving it a run at the drags was purely for fun. How you can say that is discusting isnt right. Also saying that dyno comps are rigged is also not right.
@XtremeSimon I think you're full of shit as my 313 RWKW manual BA ran a 12.6 as a manual and an auto with quick shift ran a 12.2 with more boost than mine. There was also another manual BF with same power as mine running same time as me. So either your car had a shit load more power or you were running a 13.2 not a 12.2.

Do yourself a favour, get a drag MPH and weight calculator and look up the weight of a stock manual FG F6, Then add the larger turbo, quad pumps, extra surge, twin 12 inch sub wooffers, twin 3 inch exhaust 3 amps etc and then put it in and see how much power it requires to make a car of that weight run a 136 MPH......

Great bang for buck cars but the truth is to be putting out 800rwhp and be running less than 9's is not great. Sure it's a manual and not set up purely for drag but all you need is 400+rwhp and drag set up in an old school 8 and high 10's are there.
I have had an f6Rspec and KB blown AU and I gotta say whilst boost is addictive, torque is so much quicker on the street and impressive when needing to turn the tyres. Still wouldn't knock it back mind you.

@RickyImrad Just some info on that Motor stock Cams, inlet manifold, Crank making 600 RWKW and More torque than I care to think about, the dyno print out shows it making 200rwkw @ 4000rpm then 600rwwk @ 4500rpm. This is an aggressive looking tune, which can be toned down for everyday use, yes 600rwkw every day sedan with stock cams and crank.

@MAXSPL Well the 03 cobra mustang is a very special car. The zo6 is good but to long and nose heavy. But an 03 cobra would whip it's butt........ The Viper is the straight line queen, nothing more put it on a wet track. Corvette's dont have the class or status of the Mustang. So if you cant have one of them- I say get an Australian built Falcon. Or a Mazda RX7 ;)

You say the Z06 is nose heavy? How do you draw this conclusion, when it has 50/50 weight distribution? Modern mustangs are well known for being excessively heavy and boat-like (body roll). Mustangs do have "class" and "status" but ones of the 60's era. Modern mustangs are a joke.

@MAXSPL With regards to the looks of australian cars (commodore/falcon) compared to the likes of a vette, we can drive an f6 or a clubsport down the street or dropping the kids off at school, without people thinking we are a wanker. Australian high performance cars are as close as one can get to supercar performance without the middle age crisis tag. Don't get me wrong i'd love to cut some laps in a zo6 but id feel embarassed in the parking lot, unlike an f6.

It basically comes down to the fact that Australians don't necessarily want a Fast, Well balanced, High Grip and well handled vehicle... Ford or Holden are never going to create a car like a 'vette or Viper when there is simply no demand. That and the cost to develop a worthy opponent to the Americans/Europeans would cost far beyond their means.

Great bang for buck cars but the truth is to be putting out 800rwhp and be running less than 9's is not great. Sure it's a manual and not set up purely for drag but all you need is 400+rwhp and drag set up in an old school 8 and high 10's are there.
I have had an f6Rspec and KB blown AU and I gotta say whilst boost is addictive, torque is so much quicker on the street and impressive when needing to turn the tyres. Still wouldn't knock it back mind you.

@RickyImrad Secondly the motor in that ford has got nothing to do with Yanks, it is an Australian designed motor which has barely changed in over 30 years, with exception to Turbo and DOHC. So what if America invented Drag Racing. I am sure nobody bloody cares less (with the exception to Americans like yourself) for the record if you could get your ZR1 off the line with a 2.4 and still manage 11.57 @ 135 mph in 30+ degree heat Congrats!!!

@RickyImrad Just some info on that Motor stock Cams, inlet manifold, Crank making 600 RWKW and More torque than I care to think about, the dyno print out shows it making 200rwkw @ 4000rpm then 600rwwk @ 4500rpm. This is an aggressive looking tune, which can be toned down for everyday use, yes 600rwkw every day sedan with stock cams and crank.
