  • the quality of the video is not so good . it keeps stopping .. thank you tho for sharing .. love new ideas for loving my hair .. i currently do add tea to my shampoo to thin it a bit . and save a little money . on fixed income and all

  • your hair is looking great. and really appreciate this video. I been thinking about the same you said about having blond hair, and I been thinking to go back to my natural hair, not just because of money, but the chemical i been putting in my head. and the whole not being my natural self and loving my hair as it is.

much love and keep the natural products videos coming

  • @izzyjessbell Yea it was fun being blonde- but expensive and it hurt haha. And the silver shampoo and toners got expensive, too :-(

  • I bleached my hair not to long ago! I have one more dye before im hoping to get it back close to natural, and just let it grow out. I use coconut oil for everything, I'll have to try my hair, it's been a great moisturizer on my face, and a great little addition in my morning green smoothies! I'll have to look into that shampoo I'm an amazon shopper, hoping I'll find it there

  • @TawnyPixieWillow I really liked having blonde hair, but after a while it got so expensive and made my head hurt sooo bad everytime- not to mention the expensive silver shampoos and everything I had to buy to keep it bright. You'll love the coconut oil on your hair I'm sure :-)

  • Thanks for sharing what you do with your hair. It looks healthy and shiny! I also use natural products and wash my hair once every 2-3 days. As you say, it looks kinda oily at first but once the scalp gets used to not having it's oils stripped away daily it stops over-producing oil. I found this out only a year ago. Before that I always thought that only "lucky people" with drier hair could get away with not washing it every day...live & learn. I am going to use your hair mask recipe tomorrow!

  • @TheVioletKat I thought the same thing- I used to wash it everyday and never believed it could ever look good without doing it that way..now I can't imagine doing that again..it would probably crumble away :-D Have fun with the mask- someone in the comments recommended adding egg white to it as well- I'll deifnitely be trying that next time!

  • @WitchandWoman

Ok, I will throw everything in and see what happens! I've got spare time and I'm gonna use it to look hot!!! (but not so hot when the mask is still on I imagine...lol.)

  • Okay, a few tips here. First, you can use a cold air blow dryer, there is no reason to use warm or hot air. Secondly, you should use the comb IN THE SHOWER while your conditioner is in your hair then simply use your fingers afterwards. Using anything to comb or brush your hair when there is no conditioner or detangler (which you should never use) will only break your hair off and force it to dry out. I would also suggest adding egg whites to your mask and look in to Dr Bronner's for shampoo.

  • @SabrinaMBowen thanks for the tips!

  • Great video. I made a video on a similar topic some time ago. Even though I never dyed my hair, I still had to learn my lesson about silicones and SLS.

  • @MakeUpWitch Yea- even all the high end shampoos are full of that stuff- I think to myself...how can they even claim to be good for your hair? My hair has never been in better condition than it is now..it's like the marketing convinces women that all the chemicals are necessary.

  • I used to bleach my hair too. I am in the process of growing out my natural hair, and I want it long. Long Hair Community is a great website, and there are a few pagans there too. I have been taking Biotin and eating more protein.

  • @AutumnJazz100 Thank you for the tip! I realllly want long hair again, too :-)

  • P.S. I forgot to mention. I do wash my hair with beer sometimes. :) I actually love the smell of it in my hair. LOL I also use coconut oil as conditioning treatment at least 2ce a week. I love learning about organic and natural hair/skin treatments. :) xox

  • what an amazing video. :) I used to have blonde bleached hair as well a few years ago. It's probably the worst thing you can do to your hair is to bleach it. I have even heard that bleach can effect your general health not just hair. So, now I have dyed my hair black again and have decided to leave it alone for awhile. I don't blow dry my hair unless I am in a rush. I am trying to grow my hair long again and your advice is going to help me a lot. :) Thank you, my gorgeous Goddess! Love you, Jadu

  • @jaduwitch my sister dyed her hair blonde, too and actually had a serious allergic reaction! Her face swelled up for days. I knew it couldn't be good with the burning. You look beauuutiful with black hair (and any color!). I love you, too!

  • @WitchandWoman oh my goodness, sorry to hear that about your sister. That is just awful. They always have allergic reaction warning on the dye packaging and I never even paid attention to it. You know, they don't recommend pregnant women dying their hair with any chemical dye for example, that goes to show if it can harm an unborn child, it will have harmful effects for a woman as well. We don't even think of what chemicals they put in those dyes. I will never bleach ever again.

  • Great video! Your natural color is very beautiful. I have also been on the natural beauty path for a couple of years now. It's so nice when people share because of how confusing it can be. I'd really like to try these products out, hopefully I can find them in Canada. The only issue I have with what you said is the microwave, which would destroy most if not all the nutrients? I use pure coconut oil and just heat it up in hot water. I threw out my microwave so I wouldn't be tempted to use it :P

  • @ScarletRiley oh I didn't even think about that! Good point!

  • I really like Giovanni's Tea Tree shampoo. I wash a couple times a week; the night before I wash I like to put coconut oil in my hair & just sleep with it in. Since going sulfate/cone free I've noticed a big improvement in the texture of my hair.

  • @SpiritualProgressive I looove the smell of tea tree! That's a great idea to put in the coconut oil overnight- I just have to be careful not to get it on my face because it tends to give me blemishes :-)

  • i use to fry my hair with bleach too. good video. i can never seem to find a shampoo that does not dry my hair. will look for the one you mentioned.

  • @michellebloom the bleach gets addicting, too! I kept going lighter and lighter and wanted mooore everytime. It was like a breath of fresh air when I didn't have to go sit through the process anymore, too!

  • It's funny... you look sooo gorgeous brunette- like a more feline version of Winona Ryder.

People NEED to hear the message of not washing their hair every day! LOL. No- but it's true :O)

  • @MajorArcanaTV I adore Winona :-D

  • I have accepted the texture took me 10 yrs of learning to do that now i want to embrace the graying, my hair is boy short now i feel its cute an shows the delicate curl pattern that is so hated in my culture my sign is virgo i think this why i love the natural look so much its my connect to the GREAT SPIRIT )O( blessed be

  • @fem40trish That's awesome- it would be wonderful if all women felt they could embrace their natural beauty- it's really freeing!

  • thank's for the nice video! You know, ever since your big corporation video, I started to look better at the labels, and I hope to change all my health care products to organic products in time.

  • @ligonte Awesome! I'm really glad to hear that :-)

  • many of the things you experienced with chemicals black women go through from childhood untill death because of not excepting the kinkiness of the hair texture

  • @fem40trish that sounds like a really good video topic to discuss!

  • Great video! I agree with everything you said and have noticed a huge difference in my hair as well. If folks in the states are looking for a good vegan friendly paraben/sulfate free shampoo and conditioner my absolute favorite is the Kirkland brand from Costco. It's gluten free as well. An amazing vitamin that has made my hair longer, stronger, faster is Biotin. I cannot tell enough people about this vitamin! I take 5000 mcg's daily and I highly recommend it. Thanks again for the video!

  • @calhoonas I totally forgot to mention the nutrition aspect! Biotin and especially omega - flaxseed oil have done wonders for me, too!

  • I will definitely get that Lavera shampoo when I go to Germany. I've been searching so long for a good organic shampoo. Your advice about the coconutoil was very helpful. I'm using it for a while and it really helps my bleached hair.

  • @prettyinholland Awesome! I'm glad it was helpful! It's made a huuge difference in my hair, too :-)
