Lithium is horrible as it will remove you from all feelings. You can't feel anything at all. Numb. It will also make you quite chubby. Seroquel helps psychosis so if you have it it may be helpful. Clonazapam helps with panic attacks and high anxiety so if you don't have either of these you probably don't need it. i guess your de. saw fit to put you on these meds.
I was first disgnosed in 1989 at the age of 20. I did not start taking regular medication until the age of 22, in 1991. I've been fairly stable for 18 yrs.
I've been on medication since the age of 22. Eighteen years.
Medication are far better now. I have not taken lithium since 1993, I became toxic-kidney problems.
At this time I'm taking wellbrutrin, lamitcal, and seruoqal.

I couldn't agree with you more..i know so many people who were on Lithium even short term and they were diagnosed with kidney damage. I think most psychotropics should be used just to stabalized and then switch to something more natural as you suggest...Raven

I'm 16 and was recently diagnosed with bi-polar. I'm on Lithium, Seroquel, and Clamazopam. haha.

I was diagnosed Bipolar back in 2007 at the age of 41 and was placed on litium and other drugs.
Highly suggest you looking into
natural herbs Kava Kava root and/or Taurine.
