the meteors don't have enough splash to damage more than one tokamak, I think. More than that, it's much easier to make sure one doesn't randomly explode if you keep them all in one spot
Yea it was done mostly to keep everything together and for repairing. Its a bit easier for a new player to see power is here. Any disaster would be bad. This also just gave an overview of the game. By no means is this optimal play or anything.
