I almost have to agree with you, though I think Tosin often seems sloppy because he utilizes so many insane techniques in just one song. This sounds very flawless even though it's live recording - but he doesn't do insane sweeps and out-of-this-world extended chords like Tosin :) But yes, the execution definately seems better.

@thatcharliekid1 Have you ever tried to learn a HAARP Machine song? His right hand technique is inhuman, so it's not a stretch to assume that he practiced damping. And don't go on telling me how his arm looks sped up, because, again, that's his technique. My friend Rob plays the same way; all in the forearm. Some people are just really clean a result of hours of dailypractice with a metronome. Plus the speed at which he picks isn't all that fast compared to others.

@dlwzach Not at any point did I say he couldn't play it but I know for a fact it's recorded note for note to get the cleanest sound. Don't just assume I think that's how they do it I know FOR A FACT that's how it's done. It's not necessarily a problem considering he can play it to a good standard but that's the way they do the guitars which gives you that very unique cool and clean sound that they have. And don't speak to people as if they haven't a clue about guitar playing, most of us do.

For such a great guitarist I am somewhat disappointed because using a dampener is cheating, it makes your playing sound cleaner than it actually is. Unless of course he's using it for different reasons. The dude can obviously play well, why the dampener?

@Vheissu1234 Its a capo.He tunes the 6th string down to C and uses a capo on the 3rd fret of the 6th string(also the 1st fret on the other strings) to bring the guitar to a drop D tuning while having the tension on the 6th string due to the longer scale.

@njudndudi its an extended scale, to sin abase also has it for his lowest 2 strings, its great so players can have much lower tunings with thicker gauge strings without the strings becoming rubber bands. The capo is used so that it can be brought back to the original tuning with standard frets.
