@antmill121 Blues progressions are a good starting place mind. But if you want to learn 60s songs and he ain't teaching you them then I'd remind him that you are paying him to teach you what YOU want to do :P regards
@antmill121 it's your dime man, blues is the root, i am one of those who thinks you are either born to play blues or just play at it, all music is worth learning, just smile and bring in a copy of the tune you want to learn, if he can't help you, plenty of teachers who will, best of luck.
