Can you plug them in and make sound?? that would acually be helpful, and why do u want ppl to subscribe? you only have one video out from 2 yrs ago...
I love how all of those were probably the worst effect pedals you could ever buy... Volume pedals suck the tone out of your signal, wah's arn't true bypass, and digital effects don't sound good at all, ESPECIALLY delay. An all analog board with true bypass pedals and buffers and boosts is MUCH better sounding, with a modded wah or a CAE wah (true bypass).
@Deep97Purple Original Crybaby because it doesn't suck away volume or tone and its true bypass, but invest in a better distortion. Just because the DS1 is popular doesn't mean its that good. Analog distortions have more of a range of sound and more character. Have a nice day.
@MrRaphaelLippi technically yes, but its overall sound isn't the best. there are many distortion pedals that are built with better quality and have a full range of distortion tone.
@bloc22 dude, i think your list sucks. visual sound. sucks. big muff and phase 90 = cliche alright pedals. i'm only giving you shit because you seem to think this guys choice sucks when yours isn't that great either. since you might ask ill tell you, not even my favorite pedals, but what i have on my board: boss ps2 digitech whammy maxon od9 pro+ goodrich L120 korg pitchblack boss dd5 boss ce2 line6 verbzilla EHX cathedral line6 dl4 seymour duncan shape shifter EHX freeze
@thricex05 I already changed my pedals around A LOT. I have a job and am able to buy pedals now so here is my board now: 1. Boss DD-7 2. Tech 21- US Steel 3. Little Big Muff pi with tone wicker 4. Electro Harmonix Freeze sound retainer 5. Electro Harmonix Pulsar Tremelo 6. Memory Man (should've just bought a memory boy) 7. Line 6 Verbzilla 8. Boss PW-10 Wah Pedal 9. Open Road Overdrive 10. Zvex Mastotron Fuzz 11. Holy Grail Plus
ds-1 distortion is worth the price you pay i guess, but its not a great pedal if you want a heavier distortion. Its too light and too bright. I paid 15 for it.
@Musicunseen95 well actually, if i was retarded i wouldn't have replied to what you said. read what you said and tell me that it doesn't sound like you're talking about pedal order. you were talking about "order" so i took it as you saying that the pedals are in the wrong order. also i didn't think the video was really in any order.
@thricex05 i was talking about order of importance, and im assuming the guy who made this video was also. and so i posted my order of importance. thats why i said i thought he was wrong
You coulda done a little more research. A Flanger? Not at all a necessary effect. WAY more people play with Phasers than flangers. Although neither is a necessity.
And you forgot the most essential pedal there is! Overdrive! (Which is not the same as a DS-1, or distortion).
@eragoncp14 when i made the video i was under the impression that fangers and phasers were the same thing. now i know they are fairly different. the flanger is more metalic sounding and the phaser swirls. By distortion i meant the sound it's self, not the exat pedal. it wouldn't matter if you used a dirty amp with a sd-1 or a metal zone and a clean amp, it's still distortion to the common ear. anyway, thanks for watching.
Bassist here...

I have Boss DS1 distortion pedal, and i love it, but i need a wah wah pedal to do guitarsolo's in my band :p , so any idea about wah wah pedal ? :D

In my opinion :
Delay : Tc Electronic nova delay
Distortion : Fulltone fulldrive 2 mosfet
Overdrive : Ibanez tubescreamer
Wah : Crybaby 95q

Guitar into amp. Done. Stick a gate in there if you feed back too much when not playing anything.
tomplunket 11 months ago

2. Overdrive - Fulltone Fulldrive OD
3. Tuner - TU-3 or Korg Pitchblack
4. Volume pedal - Ernie Ball VP Jr.
5. Compressor - CS-3

why no overdrive?
serve4life 1 year ago
This is allll wrong. a volume and wah before delay??? really?!?! and no reverb. this video should be flagged.
#1 overdrive/distortion
#2 Reverb
#3 Delay
#4 (if you chose a modulation effect) it should be chorus, or maybe the phase 90.
#5 and fitth, hmmm well i suppose everyone needs a tuner.
Musicunseen95 1 year ago
@Musicunseen95
why would you have the volume pedal after the delay.
first of all i think the video is entitled "MY top 5 favorite effects pedals"
i don't think he mentioned order. and the tuner is not an effects pedal.
2nd there is no right or wrong way to order your chain. there's a traditional way but no wrong way.
thricex05 1 year ago
@thricex05 i didn't mention order either, im not talking about how to wire your pedals. im saying my favorite pedals. are you retarded?

Yeah I didn't know that at first either. Sorry wasn't trying to be rude either.
Yes but there IS a difference between Overdrive and Distortion. And generally, an overdrive is considered more essential. :)

thanks for the advice

@PedalHouse overdrive and distortion are not the same thing
caioguns 1 year ago
@PedalHouse haha the common ear...that made my day
88segovia 6 months ago
@eragoncp14
no effects are "necessary". not even OD.
true, overdrive and distortion are not the "same" effects but they are both gain based effects.
if you were to tell me they are not the same effects, following that logic, an analog delay and digital delay would be different effects.
OD, distortion, fuzz all are gain based effects that utilize different methods of clipping to achieve the effect.
thricex05 1 year ago
@eragoncp14 ALSO you forgot about chorus pedals, the pedal that takes the sound from pretty good to acid dream.
Parmenides480BC 8 months ago
@eragoncp14 and that is the long dash version of the DS-1, early 80's
