Hey Coach Im coach slade Buena park youth football I am in the middle of using two blocking schemes SAB severe angle and GOD Gap On Down which do use if you use any of these
@ComptonCalisFinest Did he ever respond? I'm having the same issue. It looks like they're using GOD and the backside TE is doing the same when the Backside G & T Pull. Pay attention to the playside WB as well...looks like he had a lot of practice learning who to hook block.
@rg1025 I did use GOD in '06, but now am a TKO guy. The simplicity and speed of install allows me to work the little guys hard on their technique and aggressiveness.
@ComptonCalisFinest I have actually used both. My first season, in 2006, I used GOD blocking. The next two seasons, '07 & '08, I used TKO which is a very close cousin to SAB. I like TKO the best and plan on using it again this upcoming season. If it weren't for TKO and the simple way of teaching it, I am sure we would have had losing seasons in '07 and '08. The talent pool wasn't that great and TKO and aggressive play really saved us.
@CoachFreddy our back side tight end cuts, center goes backside, playside tackle and end double team, fullback kicks out, quaterback goes on corner, then let your back be a back
The secret is rep, rep and more reps. If you think you are working your power play too much, rep it some more. Demand perfection and the smoothness of this play will come. Another thing with this age group is get your wedge plays looking good first while you continue to work on the power play. Do not add any more plays until your power play is running smooth. Once again, keep repping it and the power play will come around.
@EChipukaizer The guys who make NCAA football should look at this video, even the little guys play more realistically, because real is real(HAH)than their video games.
Thanks for the comment Dave! You probably do not remember me, but you really helped me with emails and phone calls back in '05 when I was contemplating what offense to run. I almost went with your single wing, but liked the balance of the double wing and the deception of the sniffer fullback. You are a great coach and have helped me as well as many other coaches over the years and I thank you. Didn't get to see you speak at the 2010 Glazier Clinic in KC. I hated missing it. Maybe next time.
Thanks coach Freddy!

Great job coach. For 6 - 8 year olds, they are executing it well.

Thanks for the kind words. They really picked up the offense quickly and I was their biggest fan especially when they were executing it well.
