I don't see why everyone is so pissy about th way you run your jeeps. you buy a vehicle to have fun with it the way YOU like, not so that it will look good to everyone else.
Excellent video guys, I wish I was there with you.
Just took delivery of a 2012 Wrangler last weekend, so it will be a while before I attempt anything like this. The new Pentastar motor is a definite improvement (on the road). Off road (lightly so far) it's about the same as my TJ 4.0.
Yes, both of them. The Blue one is locked F/R with an Aussie in the front (at the time) and a Detroit in the rear. The Green one has Rubicon 44s F/R with air lockers. Front kept unlocking because of ice in the air line. Stupid Air lockers.
35" KM2s, 4" Full Traction Long Arm lift, but with a bunch of custom tweaks made to the life. Rubicon D44s. The owner kept cutting KM2 sidewalls so he went to the Maxxis Radial Trepador and never had a problem again.
almost like trail blazing....fun stuff...the one with the anti roll over frt bumper is a hellova jeep....thanks for posting.....great ride guys, keep it up..
I have a stock yj that has been setting in my garage for six years. I am sixteen and my parents are giving it to me. I took it out when it last snowed and it was freaking awsome. I had never seen such powre off road. Any suggestions on what i should do with lift size or tire size. I really enjoyed this video btw
@TheTWIMER88 depending on how you want to use it.. its all up to you and how much money you're willing to spend. if you want to use it as a daily driver and off road vehicle you can go with something like a 2.5 lift and 32 or 31 inch tires.. personally on my jeep i wanna do maybe a 3 or 3.5 in lift with 33" all terrain tires since i use it on road a lot. i think that set up looks good also
@striker0383 See other reply for the green TJ. Blue TJ, is about 6" of lift, 38" maxxis Creepy Crawlers, '79 F-250 dana 44, HO72 rear (old school 14 bolt). Both have the 6cyl, Green one has NV3550, blue one SM465 4 speed. Lift on the blue jeep is entirely custom. 3 link with panhard front, and 4 link double triangulated in the rear. 2" x .500 DOM lowers w/ 2" x .250 uppers.
2nd Jeep was an '00 6 cyl 5 speed, 35" KM2s, but went to Maxxis Trepadors after cutting the sidewalls on the KM2s. Rubicon front and rear axles with 4.88s, Rubicon case, long arm kit was a hybrid from a Full Traction and Rubicon express 5.5 and 6". Custom built more or less using the RE arms and FT belly skid.
theres just so much good about this video. theres no music, just the sound of the engine, theres fun times being had, smart driving, and just overall a good time.
so you do it for the weigh issue ? ok . i dont have a lifted Jeep so ive never had to deal with that . i almost had one but it got bought up before i could test drive it . the one i have now i think im gonna keep for a while so maybe i will lift it . winch is 1st priority though . i have a video of the underside of the Jeep i have now . i put it on its side cause im a dumb azz sometimes
The spare is strapped to the deck of the goosneck trailer that the Jeep rode in on. A full size 38" spare on a full beadlock tire is a heavy thing to carry around. Aside from an extensive gaping hole in the sidewall, most leaks can be limped on via onboard air until the spare is reached. Also, with full beadlocks, the flat isn't going to come off of the wheel. I've run those trails from the furthest point from camp all the way back out with a flat front tire.
We were wondering the same thing. We're around Fredericksburg too. You know any other trails in the area? Tried to ask people on NoVa Jeepers, but nobody knew. Thanks!
where in virginia are yall? me and 3 of my buddies have wranglers all with 33's and use to go wheeling on some local trails but the county started leasing them out to hunters.
Yep, I just took a Sawzall to them and had every intention of building new ones, but the trails I run and the flex the suspension has, it has worked out great just the way they are.
Only other thing I can think it could be is your spring seat on the axle end. Mine was for certain the hood latch squeeking. It started doing it again last weekend in Uwharrie but it was because the rubber insulater had come loose because of the zip tie breaking. Only other squeek I get from mine comes from the heims in the steering. Does your suspension lift use heim joints? Maybe in the trac bar or lower links?
@AlxJ64 Im not sure of what kind of lift, because its completley stock. My steering wheel wines like the green one does when you turn it. Ill finger it out one of these days! Thanks for the suggestions.
At 2:15 on your vid, the blue jeep squeak when you go up the hill is what i have all the time as long as my Jeep is moving. My Jeep doesnt have to be doing anything off road, it will still squeak even on the streets. Any ideas. I tried the hood latch, and thats not it, at least i dont think so.
Hey man, ive got a 1999 sahara and the squeak that you have, i have as well. Do you have any idea of what the squeak is. I cant find that squeak for the life of me. Please let me know. I have went over every single bolt, nut and have had two different shops look at it. I have stock lift with pro comp shocks, 33/12.50/16 4.0L.
If you are talking about that high pitched squeek on the blue Jeep when it gets hopping then see below. If its the other squeek from inside the green Jeep, its the steering wheel bushing.
I found it on mine. Its the hood latch safety catch. To fix it I took a piece of bike inner tube and zip tied it to the inside of the grill where the lever catches so that there is something rubber between the catch and the grill. Simple fix.
Hahaah that looks like Sooo much fun, I wana do that one it starts snowing up in ca! Cept it looks kinda sketchy when you almost get stuck a few times ha

Suspension is long armed a double triangulated rear 4 link and panhard 3 link front w/ 2” x .500” Chromo links.
@kevin108 Some of my other videos have music to them and I try to avoid more commonly used songs like Metallica and Guns and Roses. Actually most of them the music doesn't even go along with them. This snow trip was a blast though.
Great video, loved that you guys didn't add any crappy music. We bought our first Wrangler in November, wish we would of bought a junker so we can hit trails like you guys. I don't want to damage it. lol

I don't want to damage it. lol
