Thank you SO much! These fires have come up to the property fence 3 times in the past, and your information is much better than the news. If it wasn't for the helicopter pilots dropping water on the property line, I would have lost my house before.

The Santa Ana winds are supposed to pick up tonight, so firefighters are staging in Simi Valley awaiting further advances of the fire line. Your house is fairly far away from the current activity, which is centered near Rocky Peak. The hill I climbed to get this footage partly overlooks Moorpark/Thousand Oaks, so I will try to get similar shots if the fire spreads or a new fire develops.
