For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace, because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, and those who are in the flesh CANNOT please God. Romans 8:6-8 (NIV)
"Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? DO NOT BE DECEIVED: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters, nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God."
That is true, but also note that ALL of us, Christians and non Christians, saved and lost still sin, and some of us even live in sin on occasion. It's not the sins specifically that condemn us, it's rejection of Jesus as savior. If we have to be sinless to be saved, we are all in deep trouble. Clay has to answer for his own life before the Lord, so it's our job to preach salvation by faith in Jesus, and pray that people get saved. Being gay is a sin, but so are a lot of things
@kostea2005 not in a Biblical sense. If I sin 5 times in quick succession, I have effectively "lived in sin" While I do believe that excusing sin is in and of itself a sin, I do not believe that a Christian who falls into sin, or struggles indefinitely is lost, or apostate. Paul prayed and asked God to take away his particular sin that he struggled with, and God's response was "my grace is sufficient for you" It's never good to sin, continued---
@kostea2005 but we do ourselves and the lost a disservice when we pretend that being saved changes us to the extent that we become sinless. I have met people that actually believe that if a person sins, ever, they have either never been saved, or are apostate, and if this is true, we are all in trouble. I have yet to meet a truly sinless or perfect person.
This video makes absolutely no sense. Why would you use Clay Aiken in a Mercy Me "I Can Only Imagine" video. I love the song, and Clay has an amazing voice....but the song being sung by a different person=pointless. Sorry.
To explain that I love Jesus and believe in God more than anything. Clay brought human brightness to my life at a time when I needed it. Not going into detail, but Clay Aiken and my fan family have made my life so much fun. I admire Clay and do not want to lose him, much like I don't want to lose my family and friends. Sorry if I came off too zealous.
I have just watched this and the tears are flowing. Please don't ask me to live my life as I did before 2003, without Clay in my life. He is an inspiration and a wonder. He has become a large part of my life. One of the reasons is the wonderful family of fans that have become my friends. The other reason is that God created Clay and he did a wonderful job. I cannot go back to the darkness I was in before Clay.
absolutely!! being gay doesnt mean you have to abandon god or his music...try to remember ist god job to judge not ours...clay is every bit the man of god he has always been, sexual orientaion doesnt determine your absolution...listen to it and love it as you always have, god would be proud...
Lisa C that was beautiful both the pictures you chose and the song. Well done for your very first! Clay would be proud of you, I beleive. Dotty B, sassyblue8

@godluvsmormons There is a difference between regretfully sinning and living in sin.
