He is too much. A timeless, great writer and vocalist.  It`s amazing that he put together such a marvelous melody for a tune that is structured like musical gymnastics. Good luck to anyone who tries to write a beautiful melody where the chord progression of 4ths in a loop.

Wow, what a beautiful, perfect live performance of this classic and well-loved Michael Franks song! I saw him at the Hollywood Bowl a couple of years ago, but the venue was too large and I was too far away to enjoy it like I would have liked. In LA, I'd LOVE to see him at the John Anson Ford Center, where you can feel that you are practically up on stage with the performers.  I will never be tired of Michael Franks and his music!

I lived in Recife and my ex there. The best part of Brazil is the people. It was extremely hard to leave it and come back to the states. In Brazil, you feel alive, vibrant. Here in the USA, it feels like I am half dead. It is that different. Viva Brazil!!!

It's amazing how someone who's been to Brazil (Rio de Janeiro) only once and that for a very short time can capture the "feel" of the people with one song. It's one of those songs that takes you to Brazil in a second without leaving your room .
