True, but with this "inconsistency to consistently suck," we've been beating teams like NJ, Chicago, and such, playoff bound teams who think we're a bunch of easy win push overs. Proved them wrong. And Tavares will help, put him on a line with playmakers in Josh Bailey and Blake Comeau, and you have yourself a highly touted finisher. I'd rather see us not make the playoffs with a young promising team on the horizon than to watch a team be ousted in the first round with high expectations on them.

I understand, and some victories I have seen are pretty impressive. The only thing i see wrong with Tavares coming on such a young team is there is no role model, for him to judge his playing style, you know someone to look up too. Ovechkin had plenty of veterans around when he came into the NHL and Malkin had great players like Malone, Roberts and Recchi

I think Dougie Weight will be resigned next season. Bill Guerin's an iffy. The reason he was traded in the first place is b/c he doesn't agree with Scott Gordon's "overdrive" system, which is really meant for younger players. I could see them making some type of splash in the summer- perhaps a Gaborik?

Possibly, he's getting really old and with his injuries who knows. I don't think Guerin is coming back though, he's playing outstanding in Pittsburgh with Crosby on his line. As much as Gaborik would help, it seems like he wants to go to a big market team if he's already leaving Minnesota. He's way to much of a gamble though, as he's very injury prone.

the islanders have a better team than the rangers but they are just not playing that way. with all of their young players they're gonna make the playoffs next year at least. the rangers are barely making it to the playoffs this year. they're gonna get dominated though. DP IS BACK NEXT YEAR AND WILL BE BETTER THAN LUNDQVIST

DP will not last long...more injuries will end his career...DP is nothing compared to Lundqvist they shouldn't even be in the same sentence.
