Russian gymnast Yury Ryazanov, who won a bronze medal at last week's world championships in London, died on Tuesday in a car crash.

I met him in London just a week ago in the training halls and he was such a skilled young gymnast but he was also a very nice and polite person. I was there whitnessing his bronze medal and saw him dancing at the final banquet and now he is dead - can't believe it, it's so unreal..... He will be missed in gymnastics. R.I.P Yury..thanks for the great performances you gave us - make some giant swings in heaven..... so sad you already left us....
