THis car makes me sleepy. Why should I even consider a Ford when the Kia Optima, Hyunda Sonata and the new 2012 Camry is much more attractive and holds up the value better. Plus, these Fusions are too overpriced starting at 25k without taxes and ridiculous dealer fees.
@InfamousPR Honestly the only car u mentioned better is the Hyundai (and u didn't spell it right). The Kia is a Kia, so it will fall apart as you drive, and the Camry is an old persons car. It has no flare, no personality, its just for wheels, some seats and a toyota badge which makes it reliably but no fun.
the 4 cylinder and the v6 are low on horsepower. hyundais 4 cylinder 200 and turbocharged 275 i think. my friend has a 2008 ford fusion v6 and mom 2006 hyundai sonata v6 and the sonat awas faster
So those fuel numbers aren't EPA apparently because my 2011 Fusion Sport is rated at much better mileage than you posted and it gets better then the numbers even...
I just purchased a 2011 Ford Focus SE, 2.5L I4. I traded in a high powered muscle car. I can say very few bad things about the car. The car looks great and rides like a dream. VERY smoothe ride...VERY! I was a little disappointed with the power. Obviously I understood I was heavily downgrading the power, but 175hp was disappointing. While the hp wont thrill you, it does get out of it's own way so it's not awful. Power aside, this is probably one of the best cars I have driven in some time!
@takeoutme We can assure you they're independent reviews, but the videos are still a fairly new thing for us (we've done about 45 since December) -- and we're still figuring out the right format. This was one of our earliest videos. We definitely appreciate the honest feedback -- we aim to make constant improvements. Thanks!
@AutoTrader I think one thing you all could change in the videos to make them a bit better is to talk to the consumer/camera a bit more than talking to the other person in the video. The question/answer approach makes it feel like the one person doesn't know anything and the other is some sort of car geek. I'd suggest just talking to the viewer instead... something like "This particular car has fog lights, a moon roof, a blind spot monitoring system; all of which are optional extras."
@wholeycheese We totally agree with you. This was one of the first videos we did, and after watching it we came to the same conclusion. We still think it's more engaging to have two hosts interacting, but we made them partners explaining the car to the audience. If you look at some of our newer videos hopefully you'll see an evolution in that direction. Thanks for the great feedback -- keep it coming! It's our goal to keep making continuous improvements.
@austinman1995 Test drove a 2011 fusion and transmission was slipping on a car with less than 10 miles. I gave the car to sales person and he was embarrassed. He was a nice guy and took the car to service. NO FORD for me. I will just get a prius when gas goes under 3. Right know prius is back up to full price.
my dad's buying me this car when i'm 16 and i already know the interior color and features i want. i was wondering should i buy an automatic 2.5L 1-4 FWD or a FWD 3.0L V6 or a (their all automatics) AWD 3.0L V6. In the winter the weather is pretty unpredictable so should i buy is it snow tires or studed tires well those tires since it can be icy and slick on the road or doesn't that hurt your mpg or lower it when you have them on there? PLEASE REPLY SOMEONE I DONT WANNA GET THE WRONG ONE!!!
I bought a 2010 V6 Se model Fusion and its been nothing short of fantastic. Fun to drive, and despite my heavy foot its returning about 19 mpg in pretty much exclusive city driving so far.
My husband and I just checked out the Fusion SEL this weekend and I have to say that I am impressed with this car. It's definitely on my short-list! I drove the I4, and it has enough pep for me. The ride and steering is smooth and comfortable. I think the Fusion gives you a lot of features for your money, and it rates as one of the safest mid-sized sedans for 2011.
@austinman1995 I agree with you. My mother has a 2010 Fusion SEL with the 4 cyl. It has just the right amount of power. The 2011's look like they have some changes compared to the 2010's though.
This looks like a nice car but can I get gun ports and bullet resistant windows as an optional feature?

@NobbyKNobbs Not from the factory, but we know a guy who can hook you up. People just call him "Q."

@InfamousPR Kias in the UK are known for losing their values badly, depreciation is bad, because the brand is not a desirable brand.
Kia are a crappy Korean-made cars.

NOT the appearance package, and AWD is not available on the SE, you have to buy the SEL V6 model at least.
