They were signed to a major label, A&M, so their production budget would have been high enough to afford a decent mix that didn't push a shite snare sound up front with the high-mids boosted to fuck. Aye, the song is good, no question, but the production is shite and did the track no justice. Besides, the band would have had very little say in terms of the final mix.
