  • I think your videos are brilliant Bob very well done. I hope locos like 2859 are not torn apart for parts as the Gwili in a few years time may be able to take on a project like that with the necessary backers. I am only 19 and I remember the gwili from the age of about 5. Its slow improvement has been great to watch over the years and maybe one day we will see a manor on the railway again! ... Tom

  • @TtwoB Thank you for your kind comments Tom, that are greatly appreciated. Things are moving well at the moment Tom, with many and varied projects currently approaching completion. Much of the work is done over the Winter period, and where possible I capture some of the work to show what's going on.....Regards...Bob

  • Is there any news on Olwen's progress? I have heard they have started work again on victory? A steam gala of 4 of the railways steam locomotives would be fantastic! ... tom

  • @TtwoB Things are moving forwards, and as always funding is a major part of any work carried out, hopefully during the coming months things will start to happen...Bob

  • Would be lovely to see Welsh Guardsman painted in a double Felinfoel brewery livery to match that of the dining train. With the four dining coaches would really look the part!

  • @TtwoB It certainly would, and I'm sure Felinfoel Brewery would like it as well, but we'll have to see....Bob

  • You been capturing some good stuff lately, most unusual, well done. Great shots.

  • @MG06ZT Thanks Keith, I try my best...Bob

  • Brilliant Bob, you had me glued to my seat throughout, action, action and more action... ha ha. Over the last couple of weeks or so, I have come across 2 or 3 tank engine types being moved by road, Im beginning to wonder now if this could have been one that I may have seen on my travels, you never know. I take note at the time, always think of you, smile to myself, then carry on as I was, but forgetting what and where I saw it... LOL

  • @Bevoin1970 This was on it's way to Llangollen so you may well have seen it Paul...there are many such movements all over the country. Sorry for not responding earlier having big problems with Emails etc at the moment...Bob

  • Always fascinating to see how they load and unload railway items be it loco's or coaches and wagons as in your previous films Bob. Great stuff......Tim.

  • @siobhan104 I've been lucky to have a few recently Tim, Thanks again for your support ....Bob

  • Your videos are really interesting, so much is captured in the time frame of them. Great work :)

  • @R31Mark Thank you very much, tight editing is important to keep the viewers attention...well that's the theory anyway....Bob

  • I look forward to seeing this loco when we visit Llangollen for the S/S/S Gala in April 2012,it will be interesting to see how they are getting on with the work, nice video as usual Bob.

  • @wooltman Thanks Chris, you'll have to film it and upload it so we can see what's been done....Bob

  • Good video Bob captured in perfect detail as usual..........John

  • @johnwood57 Thanks John, it's always gratifying to receive such kind comments...Thanks...Bob

  • Now only 3 things are needed, 1. Love of trains - you have that. 2. time - you have that and 3. The money to do the job - that will come over time.

    Loved the Loco burn out.

Why not do a short video for some fun of the Loco's wheel spin with a car burn out sound effect

  • @littlegalah Sounds like fun Alan, may try it one day...Thanks again...Bob

  • Thanks for the video, that engine sparked my love with the gwili valley and the austerity class. Would love to see her back at the gwili soon

  • @omnibus360 She's off to the Llangollen Railway for a full overhaul, and next time she returns to the Gwili, she will be in full working order....Bob

  • will welsh guardsman return to gwilli once it is running ?

  • @kineticracer I believe it will be returned in full working order....Bob

  • It is wonderful to watch the skill with which these engines are manouvered onto the lorry Bob. I read recently of two locos being moved by lorry which passed in opposite directions on the M6!

  • @acw71000 Very true Austin, and they tend not to be youngsters, they are strong characters who are extremely skilful individuals.....Thanks as always...Bob

  • I like your video very interesting

and being a as you call them Lorry or lorrey dirver that man is very good I must say.

    thumbs up Bob

  • @canvids1 Thanks Wayne, these characters always make, what is a very difficult job, look very easy.....Bob

  • That firm's just down the road from me. Well, relatively.

Nice slippery rails there. Didn't the Shunter have sanders?

  • @AndreiTupolev Small world Andrei, unfortunately no sanders, heavy rain and three dead locos a little too much for this 0-4-0 shunter...Thanks again...Bob

  • wow this railway is having a lot of things arriving and departing.

    you do some fantastic shots

    very good video

  • @ShaurntheSheep Thanks very much, this happens all over the Country, but rarely recorded...Bob

  • Can I ask will the railway built a shed to but the steam engines in at some point and a fascinating film to see.

  • @penninefilms They desperately need one and it will come when funds allow....Bob

  • @robmasterman Its a shame they can't get a lottery found for it.

  • @penninefilms Now that would be great Bradley....lol...Bob

  • @robmasterman Other railways have got it.

  • superb footage bob, very interesting viewing once again you do us all proud,

  • @488scooby You're too kind, but it's greatly appreciate...so thanks again....Bob

  • A well managed project , I hope Ainley`s don`t see this, top marks to that driver, nice one Bob

  • @howarth004 It's quite amazing Dave, how these men make what is a very difficult job look so easy irrespective who they work for........Thanks again....Bob

  • Bob, Nice attention to detail. Thanks for sharing. Regards, John

  • @molzips Not the most exciting event John, but hopefully of interest to those who don't see this sort of working ...Thanks as always....Bob

  • Thanks for the upload Bob! I really like these stock movements videos you produce. The little 0-4-0 diesel stuck to it's task and eventually got there! I'm always impressed by the way these HGV drivers handle their tasks!. There's an interesting Glasgow connection with two items. Firstly D2178 is carrying a "diamond" shape North British Loco maker's plate and the "artic" carries a Glasgow registration plate, "FGD" is a Glasgow registration under the former registration regime. Well done! Ken

  • @kenbrowne1947 Thanks again Ken for a detailed and well thought through response. Whilst D2178 a Swindon built loco was shown in the video at first, it was used to move all the coaching stock. The North British plate was on the line's 0-4-0 shunter Aynz seen moving the steam locos, so sharp eyes indeed Mr Browne....Bob

  • Thanks Bob I enjoyed it...........Mike

  • @modemeyes Thnaks Mike, I'm glad you did....Bob

  • Fantastic capture love things like this - as I began watching, the first thing that came to mind was the three 0-6-0's being pushed by an 0-4-0 and thinking hmmm, having already seen some of your footage of adhesion being lost pushing two coaches on these slippery rails, no wonder she struggled! I just wonder how much drag there is with a steam loco being moved dead in tow?

  • @JPMiller14 A massive amount Justin, these locos are dead weight with wheels that stick to rails like glue...Mike did an excellent job of keeping them on the move....Bob

  • Fel y dywedodd y diweddar Roy Castle; 'Ymroddiad ar beth sydd angen'. ardderchog .... Keith

  • @MonochromeLoco Diolch i chi am siarad mewn iaith frodorol fy Keith, yr wyf yn gwerthfawrogi hynny'n fawr iawn....Bob

  • @robmasterman Mae'n bleser . Mae'n braf i wneud yr ymdrech o bryd i'w gilydd .... Keith :)

  • I tuoi video sono sempre ben fatti, molto interessanti ed assolutamente molto piacevoli da guardare: grazie Bob. Thumbs UP. Gian ;)

  • @pwalpar It took around two hours Walter, thanks as always for watching....Bob
