Okay-ish song, but I have to say Miss G. is in fine vocal form. The mid- 1940's to maybe 1961 was her best. Tho her early singing has a pristine quality--and an upper register--that vanished with her maturity.
I am a big fan of Judy's singing, but I ain't feeling this one. Perhaps because I prefer her 1960's voice which was deeper and warmer in tone. This sounds kinda shrill, although it's always a treat hearing something new. Thanks for sharing!
@jimblackwood You're welcome and I completely agree - I personally am partial to Judy's mid/late 1950s voice, around the time when she cut several records for Capitol (Alone, Judy, etc). There was that warmth and deepness (like you said) that she didn't quite have before.
But I love the arrangement especially on this song which is why I had to post it. :)
All the info about the album is in the "More Info" section...I put the link to listings of the tracks on there, too. I got my copy off of Amazon...it just came out last year so it should still be available. Hope that helps! :)
Thanks..that was fast..such a great song, and so brief....have listened to it over and over..had never heard her sing it before..thanks for posting it and thanks for responding...

I kicked off my slippers. Closed my eyes (as you suggested) and began to drift away...beautiful song.

Lovely song. But if the song was lame...
Judy Garland could make it catchy anyway!
