  • you mean Grandwizard Theodore....

  • Sorry... you are correct. That's Grandwizard Theodore...

  • why has the rating been disabled this is a 5 star *****

  • Thank you!

I finally have a video to show people when i start arguing with them trying to convince them that TURNTABLES ARE AN INSTRUMENT!!

    amazing!

  • OMG!

Bro, that was just freakin awesome!

TRUE skills, TRUE artistry and creativity.

I've never seen a turntable that was capable of letting the user do the kinds of things you have done and can do. I am happy to finally see a company really change the future of the TT, that will allow musicians like you to have the best of both worlds, and not just some gimmics. Bravo Vestax!

You did as djY2K said... "mastered the controller one".

    Respect.

  • Tight shit... big props, truly mastered the controller one...

  • Thanks dude... but really I'm just cracking the surface of what can be done with it. New stuff coming as soon as I get a new camera.

  • don't be too long with the camera dude. Sure we can all have a whip round for you if absolutely necessary!

    peace out

  • I'm shooting a lil somthing with the webcam hold tight

  • this is crazy! =)

  • Oh my god this is fantastic buddy. You have done something truly unique! Outstanding

  • :-O

  • awesome set man

im new to the concept of the loop pedal. how do u have it set up? the turntable, mixer , and pedal whats connected to what? lol if u can just let me know that be awesome, thanx

  • I'm just doing the same thing a guitar player would do... The master out of the mixer goes into the loop pedal instrument input (with adapters) and then the output of the pedal goes to the amp/sound system.

  • o nice easy enough

    thanx man be easy

  • This is by far the BEST C1 vid ever made.

    Big Ups John !!

  • what kind of table is this?

  • what loop pedal are using? and is there a computer or a laptop software involved in this video?

    respect

  • I'm using the Digitech Jamman. No computers or software, just the controller one and regular records.

  • hey the 1one1, where can you find this turntable? cuz there isn't an american dealer for it yet right? or is there? also how much is it retailing for? and does that turntable come with the pedal? let me know whats good, i'm interested in buying one, also can you use serato with this turntable as for just sampling?

  • Try the listencomputerock website to order directly from Ruckazoid. I know a few other places here in the US had some but sold out. Ruck has the lowest price anyway (other then ordering from a Japanese retailer, and then you'll need a voltage converter). You can use serato or anything else you'd use with a regular turntable. I've asked vestax several times about the pedal and it's seemingly not coming out... but don't worry the future is coming.

  • thanks man

p.s. i cant get enough of this video... great job

  • I still dont think its worth a grand though. Nice tune but if i was producing i would comment that with a bit of practice and another hand i could probably acheive the same effect with a set of 1210s.

  • 1210's don't have enough torque to change pitch that quickly, not to mention the fact they aren't set up to play notes in a scale.

  • Point accepted, however i dont think evolution will allow me to grow another hand that quickly anyway. It seems a bit gimmicky thats all. What else can we add to a turntable to make it sell. All we need now are some strings and a bow or possibly a mouthpiece.........

  • goooooooooooooooooooooooodddddddddddddddddddddd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • mannn that was dooopeee:D

  • Keep up the good work.Exellent stuff, need to get one.

  • nice 1!

  • that what i call skills !!! amazing man

i'm sure someday you will be a great DJ.

keep on spining....all the best !!

  • I think he's already a great DJ that was very very cool.

  • everytime I watch this I get happy

  • Yo john. Whens the next Viddy comin up?

  • Yo JB, I found the d styles clip, I added it as a fave on my channel. I might have sent you somethin earlier, but I have been drinkin and can't remember so I thought I'd tell ya again, hey it's Saturday night and the Bucks are losin, wtf. Peace

  • nice1!!

  • That was raw man, I saw a clip of D on the C1 and woodys' but I like how you give me a sense of how the mo fo works.. I need some pedals and a C1 yo. Nice vid Thanks

  • i love it!!!!

  • so macht mann das richtig, guter junge, dieses timecode werk ist ja ganz nice, aber das kann damit jeder, nach ein paar mal üben.

    Nice Work Dude!!!

  • that turntables amazing

the looping things cool , is there a pedal where you can take in and out layers

i saw shadow using one a bigger one maybe boss

sick video , thanks for posting it

  • Boss RC-50.

  • johnbeez MAD props from flagstaff AZ. im saving for a C1

  • yo ,cant wait for ur next vid

  • are you changing pitch of the table with that midi controller?

  • Yeah, but only when you see me reach up to the keyboard. The rest of the time I'm using the note buttons beside the platter.

  • there are other ways to get the same sounds out of a 1200 or pdx for half the price. ive been doin it 4 years. wah pedals, pitch pedals, flangers.

  • Using effects pedals on a 1200 will not give you the same sounds as a C1. I've been doing it for 4 years.

  • How much money is a Controller One?

  • like 1300.00 american dollors definately NOT worth it.

  • haha shits MAD dope. Did you block the ratings because of that hater with a shitload of profiles on here? lol

    Kepp this shit up mayne.

  • i doubt someone of such a high caliber of musicianship would give a shit about how other people rate his work.

  • I signed in just to comment. Freaking fly. Props.

  • Beez, I love!!! I really really really want a C1, but I will go for the next best thing, PDX 3000! Keep up the good work, more vids plz!

  • Man that's super ill. The possiblities with a turntable like that.. Just makes sampling that much funner!

  • Power to ya john Beez ! Lets keep this shit moving in the right direction !! peace

    Max Kane 4onefunkyiest alive !

  • Max Kane! Thanks - 4onefunk is the dopest!

  • What does the tuning knob do?

  • It's a very fine pitch adjustment near the pitch slider... allows you to tune the sound on the vinyl similar to how a violin player tunes their strings. I use it along with a standard Boss instrument tuner.

  • Word. Sounds dope.

  • Now that the demo has finished, I like it. Very excellent! How did you know it was in D#?

  • The C1 scale was set to D# minor and I used

the tuning knob to adjust for each record. I added a link to the original jamman loop in the description so you can hear everything tuned correctly.

  • I haven't even finished watching this, but I can already tell that this guy knows how to present something. In order for us to know what the C1 is actually enhancing, it's smart to show us the records before hand. Word. I hope the demo is fresh. Also, it's dope that he gave it up to all the cats that had a hand in designing it.

  • this is nice. the c1 is fresh. I saw teeko and max kane of 4onefunk use it live this weekend in sf. that shit was straight sick!! cmon teeko post a damn video!

  • Is that the John Beez from, I forget the group's name, but they play in Raleigh alot?

  • tight work bro real smooth

  • Oh this is Sweet!! really good Demo and Freakage...

  • I want a controller one! PDX3000 is next choice of turntable, can do clos to the same thing for 350 notes

  • Mad ill, nice showcase of what the controller one can do.

What is that 1st record you use that has the classical sample on it?

  • I Cant do that my self. Great skill and Fine art dude!

  • yo dude u know whut cha doin` ... big shoutouts :)

  • that is the most amazing live performance i have EVER seen...thats so incredibly smooth and has a great beat throughout the whole track, great flow...just perfect! MAN if i was gay i'd chose you lol

  • That was a slip of the tongue really... didgeridoo is an inside joke among my friends. Didn't edit it out cause I think it's kind of funny. Happy Thanksgiving.

  • how can ppl say the turntable is not an instrument when it blatently is

  • lol didgeridoo, yeah thats what it is

  • freshhhhh!

  • niceness.

  • I am flabbergasted! You make it look so easy.
