I've heard both versions of this song and can happily say that IMHO this is by far the better version. How can you argue with any revamp of a tune that includes Senor Belew?
a.b. and todd are very good musicians and make interesting tribute records like faithful and deface the music...this is ultimately just a curiosity whereas a.b. literally channels john lennon's vocal style on songs like "one " and "walking on air"...thank god fripp got him in a band that can make original powerful art of significance...king crimson RULES.
They used to play a bar in Newtown (near cincinnati) and put on a rockin show everytime. The place was always full of hot little chicken-heads we used to call "Raisonettes"
@HawkRock1996 How can you say this is lame as fuck? The original is so similar, and what.. three of these guys were in the Raisins? Didn't Belew produce their album as well? I mean, it's one thing to like the original better (I would say I do too), but this isn't comparing Dylan and Hendrix versions of "All Along the Watchtower" or anything like that. I just want to know what makes this "lame as fuck" like your previous comment?
