Nah, Junior should have whacked Tony when he told him "next time you come, you come heavy or not at all."
This show was told completely from Tony's perspective, so it makes him look so strong and smart, and everyone else weak by comparison. But in real life Junior had the stripes, the backing of New York, and his crew would have been at least as strong as Tony's if not stronger.
Jr had some of the best one liners and comments in the series. When he is stuck at home under house arrest and watching tv his comments to what he was watching are hilarious!
This is when Jr was still of sound mind and body lol. Jr was ruthless and old school. He woulda had the whole crew whacked if it was really in his hands lol. There arent many clips of the earlier seasons on here when Tony was still trying to solidify his role as boss and slowly takeover w/o ruffling Jr's feathers. They kept Jr as boss only in name so he could be the lighting rod for the feds.
@tonypanz I agree. The first season before Tony was actually boss is and showing him working his way to the top is some of the most underrated scenes. Plus its when Jr. was still altogether upstairs like you said.
