I've been looking at videos all day looking for one when he hit's the high note that everyone talks about, the ones where he does hit it are in a lower key than the one on the cd. if men would just use there falsetto voice it wouldn't be such a problem. it wouldn't make anyone less of a man if they did. doesn't ruin the song though. great song, one of my favorites!

This song is absolutely brilliant! I love the part where he sings 'You hate your pulse because it thinks you're still alive'. They're also ridiculously good performing live plus he hit that high not. :B

The thing I love about Nate is that he has a massive presence. Yeah all the instruments are great like when he toured with anathallo. But honestly, He has the ability to grab you with just his voice and performance.

my only complaint is that their dynamic sound on the album is not portrayed live. no drums, no electric guitar, and just less instrumentals in general. hire live members or something. id like to see them go all out.

You will be happy to know that they have added drums and an electric guitar. I have seen them recently and they have indeed stepped it up...however they didn't play this song.

I disagree completely. The presence they have live is SO much more raw / dynamic than on the record. It just feels over produced

@darcbliss do you know the meaning of dynamic? I would agree with raw, but it's pretty much an acoustic rendition. I just really like the record and wish they would try to be more true to the record in their live performances. but it's just my opinion

@ptwismuybien Well, this was their first tour, and thus it was an acoustic one. They were still writing and recording, and they probablly didnt have a drummer or a bassist yet.

The only thing similar to the Format is Nate's voice. the arrangements and feel of the band is totally different
